i am not encouraging any illegal activity here and this post is not meant to soften penalties on breaking gaia rules at all , but all i want in here is a discussion on what i have posted , ANY breaking of gaia's rules will result in a possible ban against you and again this thread is STRICTLY for discussion and not to encourage anything at all

PLEASE SOMEONE EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE THINGS?

ok this might seem stupid and pointless at first but please bear with me ok

what is the difference between a gaia gold generator and an offsite gold generator?

the only difference i see is that gaia claims the off site is against the tos , the other reason they discourage it is because it ruins the economy

but wait please here is the kicker

thanks to gaia's gold generators they keep releasing the economy is ruined
thanks to gaia's gold generators prices are severely inflated
thanks to gaia's gold generators no one can afford anything anymore
thanks to gaia's gold generators things are beyond screwed up
thanks to gaia's gold generators USERS no longer trust staff like they used too!

AND THEY FORCE USERS TO USE REAL MONEY REGARDLESS

at least with the offsite ones

they dont cram them down your throat
they dont beg you to buy them
they dont encourage you to spend it
they dont encourage you to hurt the economy
they never caused a mistrust between the users and gaia

BUT THEY DO BREAK THE RULES

>>> sadly i would rather gaia just legalize offsite gold generators and let it go our economy is already ****** beyond belief anyway whats a few off site purchases gonna do to it now? not much if you ask me. <<<

but in the end both have had the same effects, inflated prices, more scamming opportunities, more discouragement because of them, more hurt feelings, etc... and in the end it makes it unfair to all users so whats the difference?

Why further inflation? Just use the Gaian gold generators.

Offsite doesn't give them money is my guess
They might even lose money to offsite generators
And giving their current ideals (moneybag eyes), that's a major red flag to them

Don't you know if you don't buy there stuff They don't get money If the don't get money they shut down. Because dissipate all the sales as of late they don't apparently have enough to run the site *roles eyes* (All of that was sarcasm I don't really think like that)

But really they don't allow the off site ones because It does not line there wallets.

Well for one thing, offsite trading/ selling virtual currency is illegal for any website. That's something that exists outside of Gaia, and they and we must obey that law. Gaia has no authority to legalize it, even if they wanted to. It's basically gambling, deception, taking advantage of people, cheating, and it's open to various forms of abuse.

It's the same thing as piracy. How would you feel if you put a lot of work and effort into creating a website that generates an income for yourself, but someone started making money off all of YOUR hard work and claimed every reward for it? And then, as a result, because you didn't get your rightful income that you must use to support your website, you had to give it up and shut it down? That's the danger of off-site gold generators.

I do understand your frame of mind here. What Gaia is doing with the GGs is dirty, but it's not dirty because *we* can't do it-- it's dirty because it interferes with our enjoyment and the functionality of the site.

But also...

Quote:
they dont encourage you to spend it
they dont encourage you to hurt the economy

They do encourage it, or they wouldn't be doing it in the first place. It doesn't have to be in-your-face encouragement. The whole point of an off-site generator is to use it. They make the GGs with the full understanding that you're planning to use it. Whether or not they verbally tell you to spend or hurt the economy, that's the simple result. Like a grocery store, they don't have to tell you to eat food, if you buy it, you're 99% planning to eat it.

It is sad, however, that there is otherwise very little difference between the two, as far as how they affect the in-site economy.

The difference is that Gaia staff, as much as I hate to say it, can break their own TOS. Offsite Generators are NEVER okay in any capacity.
