as the holidays approach it is clear that we need to remember and keep in our heart good things so post up one nice thing about gaia here in this thread
i will start
despite all the changes i still like coming onto this site and chat with my friends, it keeps us close

Thank you for this thread, it's always good to remember the positive things! It makes it easier when the hard times come.
I like Gaia for the community and friends I've made.
And the cute items. I love dressing up my avatar!

I am glad that Gaia has kept me in touch with one of my closest friends, and the fact that it had introduced me to her, and it has helped keep the relationship we forged going strong, and it has allowed us to talk about ourselves openly and not have a fear of being judged

I am thankful for it being my safe haven threw my teens when I had no one. And being what kept my mind off my ex when I was pregnant with my daughter.

I am thankful for what Gaia has done for me. It helped me get through a lot of dark rough patches in my earlier life. The friends I have made, the memories I hold dear to my heart, are priceless and cannot be replaced.

This is a place of relaxation for me. I like dressing up my avatar and I've always looked forward to the seasonal events. It's almost like I get a bonus way to personally enjoy the seasons through Gaia events that other people around me don't get to enjoy. xp
My favorite little thing about Gaia over the years is reading some of the item descriptions. rofl

I love Gaia for the variety of people you encounter on the site. People who would probably not have met or become friends IRL due to social stigmas and such are brought together here and it definitely drives home the idea of "common ground".

Well, for the most part all of my friends have left and my old guild hangouts are dead, so I don't really know why I keep coming back to this site.
It might have something to do with the way I like playing with character creators and flash dress-up things- and there is no denying how extensive Gaia's avatar system is.
And while their sense of humor has dissipated a bit, some of the jokes I find lurking around the site still crack me up.

This might sound asocial compared to everyone else's reasons, but I mainly like the Were-Items and Flash Spaces.
On other avatar sites, it's hard to have "proper" animal avatars, as you mostly just piece together the items onto a human avatar, so whatever animal you choose, it's going to be humanoid.
The Flash Spaces are high-quality, and the avatars have good animation when moving around (except for a few Were-poses), and there are a lot of them. On other sites, the Flash Spaces are crudely drawn by comparison, there's minimal (if any) avatar animation, and are often glitchy.

I like Gaia because I get to dress up my avi, participate in RPs! ^_^* As well as be able to play a few of the various games that are a lot of fun and rewarding at the same time. Even reading some of the older manga story arcs are another thing I like about the site..
