CURRENT LESSON This is where the homework and classwork info will be Hello sirs and misses today we will learn some basics before we try to turn a match into a needle
Transfiguration is a branch of magic that focuses on the alteration of the form or appearance of an object, via the alteration of the object's molecular structure..Transfiguration can be done to most (if not all) objects and, as with most forms of magic, it includes - but is hardly limited to - Transfiguration spells.
Currently, transfiguration is divided into four main branches. They are, in ascending order of difficulty: Transformation, Vanishment, Conjuration and Untransfiguration.As Professor McGonagall said, " Transfiguration is some of the most complex and dangerous magic you will learn at Hogwarts. Anyone messing around in my class will leave and not come back. You have been warned."
Transfiguration is a very systematic, exact magical discipline, working best for the scientifically-inclined minded, and as such it is deemed very hard work (especially compared to Charms, which affords a much larger margin for personal creativity).
There are a number of factors a wizard must take into account when carrying out Transfiguration spells. The intended transformation (t) is directly influenced by bodyweight (a), viciousness (v), wand power (w), concentration (c) and a fifth unknown variable (Z),[3] as described by the following mathematical formula
T=[(w*c)/(v*a)]*z
Today we will only be learning about the first of the brances Transformation
This refers to any Transfiguration that deforms or alters the target in some way.It should be noted that whilst this branch of transfiguration is the first covered in the Hogwarts curriculum (containing simple transfigurations such as Match to needle) it can also pertains to the most complex and dangerous forms of transfiguration too. For example, Petrification is a form of transformation and is very dark, complicated and powerful magic.Transformation is divided into three sub-types, each with their own divisions and all of which overlap with one another to some degree.
Now for the match stick to a needle Place your machstick on the desk or any other flat surface Then tap into the power of your wand core multiply this by your mental image of the matchstick not ever having been a matchstick but a sewing needle instead then multiply the weight of the matchstick with the resitability of a needle and divide your power by the current result then multiply the full willpower and touch the side of the match with your wand while saying " verto is compositus in a postulo " and with some practice and skill it should turn into a perfect needle*
