rome and magic
in the eight century romulas founds rome. most people dont know that romulas was a twin and both were wizards. they were not very powerful but they worked together for many years . they were both very skilled in divinations,Occlumency, and Legilimency.Numa Pompilius,.the second king of rome, was the first open magic user of rome. he was said to have spoken to the gods of rome but in reality he used divination to see into the past and then tell others what he had seen in a way they would accept. witches and wizards were yet again in a place of power as only the eltie were able to afford the public ceremonies the witches and wizards would make. most of the wizards that existed at the time were also the political leaders. THIS WENT ON FROM 509 BC TO 27 BC. in 264-146bc there were the punic wars which involved many witches and wiazrds fighting among each other and compeling others to attack their enimies. after winning a battle against a rival they would build a temple to the victors. muggles assumed these temples were for various gods and goddesses.after several hundred years of rome's wizards and witches having great power in politics most of the muggles started to become jealous or upset with witches and wizards.in 186 bc they tried to stop a group of wizards and witches called the Bacchanals.
by the end of the 2nd century christianity came into being and was a strong force in the world they decided that the witches and wizards of rome were not to be trusted and labeled us as pagans. in 381 bce witches and wizards were being killed offf by christians as they had taken over rome
