Yawning into his palm, Uttam paced around the reservation with a haughty glare at everything and everyone he passed. Stupid foals slaving away to try and save the day. Hah, like that would get them anywhere - none of them were able to be heroes. Heroes needed to be stronger, braver, craftier - like Uttam. He could be a hero, easily. Hell, he could just take on one of the titans right now - he'd fought the one with Eitri, and had a grasp on the creatures. Just one would be easy to pick apart!

Hurling his shawl around himself in a twirling motion, the Famine stallion strode towards the portal that would lead him to the Insanity afflicted lands.

Prom had come and gone, and despite it's rough patches, Shikoba had more then made up for the previous year in which he had abandoned her partway through the night. It really just went to show how different things were now then they had been just a year prior, how they'd both grown and changed and somehow despite constant bickering and differences and conflicts had grown closer together. She had never imagined her life would end up on this course, living with the man who had been her constant rival and a never ending thorn in her side, depending on him in ways she refused to think about too much.

But that night of fun and carefree activities was gone, and with it a new day came. It was time to go back to work, fighting the insanity that was overwhelming their lands. She felt almost guilty for indulging in a night of laid back activity, even if they had fought a giant santa partway through the evening, and was more then ready to make up for it now that her sudden compulsion towards attending a student run event had been satisfied.

And so she found herself striding towards the portals, wings folded in tight behind her, with nothing but the mission on her mind. Nothing at all until a vaguely familiar horseman came into view of course.

Shaheen slowed down her steps, eyes narrowing in thought, before she reached out a hand to rest on Shik's arm. It was him, that man from the night at prom that dared to challenge her intelligence after slapping her rear end by accident...or so he said. Wait, hadn't Shik all but promised her that she could put the faminer in his place after prom was finished?

Well...prom was certainly over with now! But there was also work to be done, and likely no time to be spent dealing with a waste of time such as he.

....Or was there?

She glanced up at Shik with a questioning look, before murmuring. "Did I mention he slapped my a** at prom before you arrived?"

Might as well see what kind of reaction that got first.

Shik was in a weird place right now: on the one hand, he was damn glad that event was done and over with and he wasn't being forced to listen to awfully colorful music or watch short things with grubby painted faces yell up at him about how to do this game or that. On the other, he also didn't . . . want to go fight something right now. Maybe he still had some damn Joy infection he couldn't quite shake off, but it bothered him that the usual bloodlust wasn't there.

Well, at least until he saw that Faminer. Then things got interesting.

"He what," Shik murmured flatly, snorting with amusement more than anything else. He had no worries about Shaheen not being able to take care of herself--if anything, it was because she could that he had to wonder what other amount of trouble she had gotten into. "Then again, you do have a fine a**, woman." As he recalled, she had gotten several . . . blows to it during some odd dream world thing as well. Car's characters were attracted to Shaheen's a** like a moth to the flame maybe.

"Do we have to? I was hoping we could continue our date by smashing something into the ground: Insanity is a just a little more justifiable than a desert-loving lowlife."

Shik made no effort to lower his voice for that part.

Whipping around with a growl, the soldier bared his teeth in a snarl. He could take people being asinine, he could handle the immaturity of little foals acting like heroes. What he couldn't handle? Someone calling him a lowlife. He was a soldier. He got things done, put himself on the front lines (at least when necessary), and was more than important. All were important in their own way, but Uttam was key to his clan. All the humans he'd staved off and killed? All the times he'd provided morsels of FEAR for them? A lowlife he certainly was not!

"What was that, savage?"

Not even thinking to summon the meteor hammer, Uttam let fly a fist into the War's chest. It was a dumb move, leaving him wide open. A hollow eyed look was sent inward - the pain was probably about to come.

The reaction she got from Shik was not really what she had been hoping for, but it did bring a very self-satisfied smirk to her lips as she cast a glance behind herself and down. "It is quite nice isn't it?" But then her expression changed, souring slightly as the smirk faded, and the executioner was then instead graced with a frown that might have actually been considered pouty.

Shaheen never pouted. What was this man doing to her.

"But that doesn't mean everyone and their dam should be allowed to touch it." She hissed, before turning back towards the faminer, having just decided that perhaps it would be better to leave him alone, as they had more important things to be dealing with then a petty scuffle with him. She was taking a step towards the portal when Shik let drop his insult, and she stopped, amusement lighting up her golden eyes, gaze sliding over towards Uttam, searching for any reaction from him, hoping that there would be one.

He didn't disappoint.

Even as the other man approached Shik with a snarl, the chieftain moved, turning to intercept the attack with a hand that shot out, aiming to impact against Uttam's arm at the elbow, all of her efforts of force concentrated in that one, solid blow.

No words were needed. Just a baring of teeth, bright against the dark tan of her skin, that looked more like a feral grin then anything.
