"Huh." Sam's voice echoed a bit as they stepped right into a glowing cavern. She immediately turned on her spare flashlight, flickering it once, twice around. Several corridors. "That's not what I was expecting, but I guess these things never just hand themselves over. That would make my life too easy." Wry smile. She took a few tentative steps forward. It grew even more cold and damp the further they went, and once through that door it just continued.
Though oddly, as if they passed through some sort of invisible wall, the area started to shift around them, disassembling and then slowly, piece by piece, reassembling. It felt lighter, warmer. It felt like they were walking through someone's dream instead of actually a cavern, and the feel of the environment around them that of an ancient Fear.
They were surrounded by walls that looked almost like cinderblocks, gold, shimmering in the light. The walls were lit with rows and rows of torches, seemingly extending on all angles.
Sam opened her mouth to say something else, and then stopped, eyes narrowing. There was a click - she shouted something and-
Quote: WELCOME TO THE LABYRINTH (HUNTER SIDE gaia_crown [ GOAL ] (prewritten from lil!) THE OBJECT OF THE GAME is to...make it to the end. This is basically a looong winding, trap-filled corridor ala indiana jones style. There are traps, status effects, and essentially some nasty s**t lmao. Hunters: You are also seeing the SAME exact thing, but you are in a different side of the 'maze'. So while you are all together in this thread, the halloweens and hunters are not together just yet. - This round will go on until tomorrow nightish if mostly everyone posts. Once everyone has reached the end, part 2 will begin! How:Roll 1d10 and match the status effects to the below. In 5 rolls they have made it to the end, but it is still currently dark at the other side. 1: You stepped on something and suddenly arrows are shooting out of the walls! They mostly shoot by you, but a few do graze you. -10 hp 2: You get a little too close to the wall.. and as if it can sense you, it sends out a spray of gas. You dont feel different... but if you look down, you would suddenly realize you turned into a girl. This effect lasts until your last dice roll. 8| 3: Rocks decide its the perfect time to try and bury you. -10 HP 4: You did something that opened a pit filled with water suddenly open in front of you. There is clearly something staring up at you from those depths, asking you to fall in... you need to find a way to cross. -- Add one roll to your count to get to the end. So if you only needed 5 rolls, you now need 6! 5: Something sprays your eyes out of no where. When you look at your comrades you now see them as if they were dressed in bunny suits. This effect only lasts a few IC seconds. 6: Something stings you... but you suddenly feel better? +10 HP (if at max HP you just...keep your max HP) 7: Scorpions decide it is time to swarm you and sting at your ankles. They are poisonous, they make you feel delirious and really really warm. - 10 HP 8: Oh look theres something shiny on the ground. Even if you try and avoid it, it decides it wants to get in your way anyways and trip you. :< Jokes on you. No status effects or HP loss, just maybe a little of your dignity... 9: Being as this area IS under the kitsune lands... after feeling something tingle across your skin, you suddenly look like you have fuzzy ears and a tail. A few tails... like 5 tails... If you already have fuzzy ears/tails, you just grow more tails 8| ALL THE TAILS if you roll this more than once you just grow more goddamn tails. This effect lasts for two rolls/ turns. 10: A giant ax comes down RIGHT in front of you. Besides scaring the unholy crap out of you, nothing else happens.

"Not what you were expecting?" Jordan summoned Ferros as soon as he stepped through the portal and heard those rather ominous words. It was totally possible that whatever this was was going to be less dangerous than whatever Sam had been anticipating, but he wasn't betting on it.
When their surroundings began to shift and alter themselves like some sort of puzzle box, he moved more slowly, on high alert now that things were getting weird. "Any idea where we are?"
He tensed up when he heard a click and a shout. Something gleamed on the floor, but nothing came flying at them. After a moment, Jordan moved cautiously to step over the shiny thing, testing his footing.
He was sure he'd lifted his foot high enough to clear the object, but it caught the toe of his boot and sent him sprawling. He swore and rolled to the side, expecting some trap to spring. Nothing. And when he looked, the shiny object had vanished.
He picked himself up, scowling, embarrassed. "The ******** was that."

"Wonderful," Jordan said dryly, giving Harrison a quick once-over; he looked a little dusty and scratched, but not hurt. "You okay?" he asked anyway.
Rep's predicament was at least not harmful, and didn't seem to come packaged with PMS this time, at least judging by how Rep wasn't bursting into tears over it. Jordan gave him a sympathetic glance and brushied his hand across Rep's shoulder as he started cautiously down the corridor again.
He jumped back hurriedly as something clicked and rumbled under his feet, and just in time; the floor tiles crumbled away into a pit, and the splashing below suggested that there was water down there. Jordan edged to to the lip of the pit and peered down over the edge. There was something staring back, and Jordan moved back just as slowly as he'd moved forward. "I don't think we should try crossing that directly," he said.
