NAME OF CLASS: BEEN FIGHTING BEARS ON THE MOUNTAIN.
PROFESSOR NAME Malcolm

General information: Malcolm had always been one of those professors who always seem to take things to the extremities; this training session was no exception. Held on a mountain that is located just 5 minutes' walk away from the school, there was also something about fighting bears...

~Image here, I guess~

The Course:
The Garowl Mountains, located just 5 minutes' walk away from the school. Yes, this mountain had always been there; don't question it.

Mechanics:

Phase 1
The climb up the mountain was a really tedious one; it was absolutely freezing, and the strong winds did not help your cause at all. Unless you actually liked the cold, walking to where the training session was supposed to be held was a test in itself...

Note: If your student is cold/frost/ice-based or is used to living is extreme cold, you may skip this phrase and move onto phrase 2! Just leo strut your way up!
Note 2: If your student is heat/fire-based or cold-blooded, you will use 1d8.
Note 3: Everyone else will use a 1d10!

1 : You were frozen on the spot, resembling a live ice sculpture, as you failed to beat the cold; that night, Malcolm would find you and carry you back to your room to thaw out. Shameeeee. Major fail!
2-5 : You almost got there, but unusually strong winds and what was probably an approaching snow storm nearer to the peak forced you to turn back. Fail!
6-10 : You made it! You're tired (and possibly grumpy) but you made it- Hey, where did your clothing go? If you are a boil, you lost either your shirt or your pants to the winds. If you are a ghoul, your clothing had been ripped up pretty badly by the winds. Pass! But at what cost?

Phrase 2
Despite your missing/ruined clothing, you had walked too far to back down. You are a man! A MAN. Or a woman... But you can't spell woman without a MAN. Nearing the ice cave, you could hear faint growling coming from inside as your challenger stepped forward... And give you the grumpiest look known to bear-kind. Hah, what a lousy, weak looking thing...

Note: Roll 2d6 to fight!
-> Subtract 6 if you are Y1, 4 if you are Y2 and 3 if you are Y3/beyond.
-> Example of damage: I am Y2 and I roll a 6. My damage is 6-4=2

< 0 : Bearel practically ravaged you, and you might had screamed loudly like a little ghoul in the process. Fail!
2 - 3 : You managed to land a weak hit, but Bearel managed to get the best of you before escaping back into the cave. Pass!
4 > : You managed to land a strong hit after summoning your inner man, sending Bearel flying back into the cave with tears streaming out of its eyes. I hope you're quite satisfied. Great pass!

Phrase 3
Before you could recover from your encounter with Bearel, you hear even a louder, but more feminine growl coming from within the cave. Soon enough, Bearel's mama stepped out of the cave and made a gesture at you with her tint fists of fury; come at her, bro. Funshine is ready for some fun-time...

Note: Roll 2d6 to fight!
-> Subtract 6 if you are Y1, 4 if you are Y2 and 3 if you are Y3/beyond.
-> Example of damage: I am Y2 and I roll a 6. My damage is 6-4=2

< 1 : Funshine beats the crap out of you, and you couldn't even land a single hit. Shame... So. Much. Shame. Fail!
2 - 4 : You managed to land a weak hit, but Funshine managed to pretty much put lots of tiny fist-shaped bruises on you before collapsing into the snow. Pass!
5 > : You managed to land a strong hit after summoning your inner man, sending Funshine stumbling and face-planting into the snow. You feel a small, pitiable sense of pride. Great pass!

Final phrase
Just as you thought that your training was over, a series of angry-sounding clicking noises came from the direction of the cave. A second later, an adorably white and furry teddy walked out, picked the fallen Funshine up in its arms, and carrying it back into the cave. It then reemerged from the- OH JACK WHAT IS THAT EVEN?!

Note: Roll 2d6 to fight!
-> Subtract 6 if you are Y1, 4 if you are Y2 and 3 if you are Y3/beyond.
-> Example of damage: I am Y2 and I roll a 6. My damage is 6-4=2

< 4 : TeddyWeddy probably beat you senseless and made you scream like a little ghoul while crying for mummy repeatedly. You also feel a sense of shame. Fail!
5-7 : You managed to land a weak hit, but TeddyWeddy had gotten several scratch marks across parts of your body; well, battle scars are cool, right? Even temporary ones? Pass!
8-9 : You managed to land a strong hit after summoning your inner man, causing TeddyWeddy to go back to its original, cute and harmless form. Great pass!

Optional finale
Having proved your worth and strength as a real MAN of MANLINESS, you were allowed into the cave, where a treasure chest was...

Note: This part is completely optional!
Note 2: Roll 1d10 to determine your prize!

1-2 : A pair of socks, decorated with images of Bearel, knitted by Funshine Mama bear herself. You're steal baby Bearel's socks? )8
3-4 : A giant bear suit. Hey, at least it's warm?
5-6 : A delicious pie with a filling that you like! How mysterious!
7-9 : A trophy with the words "I FOUGHT THE 3 BEARS AND LIVED" on it.
10 : A silver seed! Hurray! Please quote "Dragain" with your Minipet sn for your prize!

You stole from three minipets! I hope you feel fantastic about yourself!

Bonus Mechanics:
THIS IS THE WILDERNESS, TOUGH IT OUT. Oh yeah, these minipets are rather oversized, by the way, but still smaller (and cuter) than you... With baby Bearel being almost minipet-sized and papa TeddyWeddy being close to grizzly size!

YOU LOSE/FINISH THIS RP WHEN...

You defeat Teddyweddy and drag your a** back to Amityville. Any less is failure because you are not a MAN.

After the Fiasco of a finale to what would have been a wonderfully successful mission to the human world all the horsemen we now not only confined to certain areas within their reserve, but also forced to start attending classes like a common student of halloween. The very notion was enough to put a sour taste in the death priestess' mouth, but as she had very little choice in the matter, she was going to make the most of her situation and chose classes though would aid her in the future.

The quest for ever more strength power was an on going one, so naturally she would find herself at the foot of the near by(and strangely unnoticed up to this point) mountain near the campus.

She stood there, staring up at it, and waited. A little flyer had been pinned to a few of the trees within their reserve, inviting anyone else to join her in her for the afternoon in a class, and giving a meeting time at noon. It was ten too, and as of yet no one had arrived, but she would wait until the pumpkin sun had peeked it's highest point before proceeding.

Mmur wasn't particularly put out by the confinement of his people, or at least he wasn't if he kept himself from thinking about it for very long. Even when he did dwell on it, the horseman didn't rage or scream, he pouted, flopping into Hadan's lap with a piteous sigh or prodding at his sister's shoulder until she pushed him away and told him to 'get a life,' something she had surely picked up from all those Amityville colts she'd started hanging out with since her return.

The priestess's little sign had almost gone unnoticed by the soldier at first, but he was an observant creature most of the time, and it didn't take him long to see her call to action. He hadn't a clue there was even a mountain nearby, and he didn't really believe it actually existed until he saw it with his own glowing eyes. Mmur didn't have much time to think about that, however, not once he saw who waited for him at its base. It was that priestess from the human world! The one who had so deftly herded the handful of costumed humans he had sent at her to their doom.

"Hello, priestess!" he said once he had bounced to a stop at her side. "This seems a worthy challenge."

A voice pulled Nergui around and she offered a nod and a sharp little smile to the famine soldier as he came to join her. So he was the only one? So be it. They didn't need a large party for this. If memory served she'd met this stallion before in passing through various missions, but she could not recall if names had ever been exchanged in the past. "Well met, Soldier," she offered, pearly whites flashing in the darkness of her face as she grinned. "Your name, please?"

It was only polite to offer that which she requested. "You may call me Nergui, or whatever pleases you." Thin shoulders rose in a shrug, and she turned back to gaze up at the mountain. "I hope you're ready for this."

Without another word she started forward, eager to begin this journey.

The breeze was crisp and cool as it whipped through her hair and stung at her cheeks, but Nergui was used to such weather, having grown up on the isle of death with it's harsh climates. The cold did little to phase her, but then she was accustomed to the chill. The same couldn't be said for her famine brethren, and she paused periodically to glance back towards the scantly clad warrior, contemplating offering her cloak to him. "Do not give in, Friend. This mountain is nothing to us."

Oh Nergui, so encouraging.

Still, she wasn't without her own hitches on her way. The wind was fierce, and it tore at the garments that clung to her dark body. Leaving dark fabrics in shredded ribbons, and her cloak all but useless and it tangled around her. Fed up, she eventually discards it, though Mmur is free to retrieve it if he so desired.

"I am Mmur," he replied with a shallow bow. He didn't bother giving his clan, mostly because he was well aware that she knew it perfectly well. Anyway, it didn't matter now. Outsiders thought they were all sharing a clan these days as it was. He hurried after her, making every effort to keep his eyes on her dark hair, but eventually Mmur had to turn away or risk having those eyes fuse shut with ice. Okay, fine, maybe he was being a little melodramatic.

Had this been a trip to the desert he would have had no trouble, but this mountain was far too cold for him to tolerate considering what he was currently wearing. He made it an admirable distance before he turned back, but he did turn back, his lips quirked in a scowl.

Determined not to give up, Mmur set out to scale the base of the mountain again. He drew his arms across his chest and tried to ignore how much his teeth wanted to chatter. When he passed Nergui's cloak he bent over and surreptitiously picked it up off of the ground, slinging it over his shoulders. He might have been one of the only creatures to make it through the howling wind with more clothing on than he started with, but the horseman didn't care. This mountain was freezing and it meant business.

He grinned when he reached the priestess's side. "All right. I'm ready."

An answering smile was there for the famine stallion when he managed to reach her side, and she gave a tiny chuckle at the cloak he'd managed to save from the snowy mountain side. It wasn't much, but at least it would help protect his terribly bare frame from the chill.

Now that they'd reached their first goal a rumbling growl was beginning to over power the howl of the wind. It made the priestess turn, dark eyes narrowing at the dark opening of a cave, before a great something darted out of the inky blackness to collide with her. It knocked her clear off her feet, and she she landed in the snow the back of her head met painfully with a chunk or ice or rock hidden within. It pulled a shriek from her lips, but the sound was short lived as bursts of gray erupted within her vision.

She didn't get a good look at the thing that hit her, but she'd be a little embarrassed of herself when she did.

Shocked by the priestess' sudden incapacitation, Mmur drew in a sharp breath and swung a fist after the pale, blue blur. He hit the scarf-wearing bear hard, and although it didn't go down as a result, it did stagger back and glare at the horseman like he'd just struck its bear mother. Maybe Mmur would get to do that later.

"I made it cry!" he said to no one in particular as he hurried to Nergui's side to help her up. "Are you all right?"

Nergui blinked, stunned as Mmur moved to help her up. "Yes, I'm alright." What in Goddess name? She stared at the blue, scarf wearing bear in disbelief that it had managed to land a blow on her, and that she had not managed to knock it clean off the mountain.

Well.. That needed to change. Lightly pushing the famine soldier's hands away, Nergui faced the scowling bear with a very similar expression. Unexpectedly it charged her, hammering at her with pale paws. It was so shocking that she didn't even defend at first. Then she hissed at the damn thing and threw her fist int it's face, knocking it away from her.

"What was that vile thing?"

He backed away as she silently directed him to, smiling slightly as Nergui socked the creature in its jaw. "I don't know." Having never paid much attention to the Amityville school secretary, he couldn't have remarked on the resemblance, nor had he really gotten a good enough look at it to truly discern whether or not it was even a bear.

"We should keep..." Mmur trailed off, hearing another shriek and seeing a bright flash of color through the whirling snow. A large, angry minipet barreled toward the pair, and Mmur summoned his whip, cleanly striking the animal with a strong hit. He could see this one just fine, mostly because it was... yellow and quite a bit larger than the last. This mountain was weird.

Nergui was scowling after the scarf wearing bear as Mmur started to suggest they keep moving. His words had trailed off though, and the mare turned, brows raising before mismatched eyes widened at the thing that barreled down on them. "What is that?"

She heard the whip snap, and the harsh crack was almost startling. A second later Nergui had summoned her own weapon, dark fingers curling tightly around an equally dark hilt. Following Mmur's attack the mare darted in, slashing at the thing herself. A glancing blow, but still a hit. It was enough to fend the thing off and send it back into the cave.

When they were alone again dainty fingers swept a wild curl over the point of an ear. "I think you're right, and we should keep moving."

He nodded and moved quickly up the mountain's side, not feeling the cold as acutely now that he was on the move. The snow drove at him relentlessly, but he kept his whip in hand and an eye out for more of the strange creatures that resided here. He was used to fighting humans, distracting them with fear and visions. It was only mildly frustrating that these odd bears didn't seem intimidated by the mismatched pair of horsemen in the slightest. Brute force always worked too.

Their next enemy ran past in a streak of startling white, made all the more surprising by how it still managed to stand out against the already pale snow. It was carrying something strangely familiar in its arms, something... yellow, but it was gone before Mmur could waste time pondering what it had been. Soon, he had bigger things to worry about anyway.

The teddy weddy returned, skittering out of the swirling snow, and lashed out at the soldier with a spindly leg before he could react. It drew blood, but that didn't stop Mmur from hitting back, the sharp edge of his whip taking off the leg that had struck him with startling efficiency.

Mmur had managed the beast the beast with little more then a bloody scratch, but Nergui was not so lucky. A spindly leg had caught her across the face to send her reeling into the snow with the taste of her own blood melting hot across her tongue. It left her nearly snarling as she pushed herself up and staggered back to her feet, forcing wild silver curls away from her face.

The wind was beginning to grate upon her nerves.

[fail boat. Let's try that again.]

The second abrupt meeting with the snow was a lot more damaging to her pride then it was her shoulder, despite the fresh gash that showed through torn clothing.
