Ray is an excitable youth, taking joy in playing video games, surfing the internet, watching movies and drawing. He works as a commission artist, ranging from cartoons to graphic design to graffiti. Ever since he was little, he's been nomadic and in his eighteen years, has been to eleven schools, including his college, and has visited ten countries. He has lived in Spain, where he spent the last three years of high school with his breaking family. With a younger brother and a military father and an overbearing, anxious mother, he kept to himself as to preserve his sanity.

Upon his graduation, he moved to rural Virginia for school and forged a path to become a filmmaker.

However, recently, he discovered the existence of something...new. Something adventurous. Something, alive, within the recesses of his computer.

He thought it was a game at first, but the more he looked into it, the more sentient the tiny red creature seemed. It was like one of those old 90's virtual pets...

One night, Ray stayed up late for a paper. He fell asleep with his laptop on his lap, and when he woke up, ohhh he was not in Kansas anymore, Toto. The sky was blue and bright, and it certainly was much too warm for March in Virginia. Bright green grass cushioned him as he sat up and he heard a little voice beside him. "Hello!" Beside him was a red....reptile dinosaur....thing. With black markings all over him. "I'm Guilmon! Who're you?"
"Uhh... Hey uh, Guilmon. I'm Ray."

Ray and Guilmon became partners after the day spent exploring the digital world. And he couldn't bear to not keep the admittedly cute dragon 'Digimon', they were called, by his side. He felt he owed Guilmon for showing him around and how to get back to the real world.

He has yet to find a way to get Guilmon into the real world with him, but all in due time, of course...
