[PRP] Lost and Confused. (Millie/Ofie)

Millie wasn't quite sure where she had ended up. One minute she was in the gym, the next, she seemed to be... outside.

For some reason it didn't -feel- like she was still on school grounds as the fog around her feet changed shape as she moved.

She felt on edge, so summoned Esu with a thought. The presence of her weapon was a comfort and offset the feelings the fog gave her.

Through the mist she saw... a bench? Sitting sounded like a good idea. She had been walking for a while now and the fog had made her tired. She sat on the bench and leaned against Esu wondering where exactly she had ended up.

Ofelia had a sack of cookies, a small canteen of milk, and the desire to try and find a room that looked like a children's playhouse. Scouting around the haunted house always brought her fun and joy, not to mention a chance to melt some faces and burn off excess frustrations. Being at Deus had her feeling stiff and unhappy, like there was something holding her back, so now she was out and about and ready to do some damage.

That is until she found herself outside while inside. With a heavy sigh she dropped down into a crouch and debated on eating some cookies. Cookies were always welcome and amazing and why was she outside while inside. This meant she needed to look into it more but it also meant this wasn't the room with a chair and cushions.

Disappointed with her discovery Ofelia lifted up a rock and tossed it, listening as it loudly crashed into some bushes nearby.

The loud noise startled Millie as she jumped off the bench in response.

Trying not to yelp and dropping into a crouch with Esu near the ground, she looked toward the rusting bush.

What was that?

Looking around, Millie picked up a small rock and threw it into the bush, hoping to drive out whatever was in it. Millie hoped it was just a stray minipet or something. Whatever it was, it sounded larger than a minipet...

Another rock was tossed, and then another, as Ofelia crouched down and continued to eat her cookies. She'd heard the noise earlier but didn't go to look for it, taking in the classical stance of not wandering off into the woods in a haunted house. She was about to get up and start moving when a rock came near her and she frowned.

Random things didn't throw rocks back. The rock was picked up, looked at, and then thrown in the direction it came from with the same toss that someone would throw a baseball.

Millie ducked barely in time as the rock sailed over her head.

Watching the direction it went, Millie gauged that this certainly wasn't just a minipet. Those creatures didn't have that kind of strength to throw a rock with that kind of force that far.

Was it a prank? She could name a few in her class that wouldn't be above trying to scare her for no reason.

Deciding that that had to be it, but unable to name a single person, Millie decidedly trudged off to see who was behind the bush throwing rocks at her.

"Alright, that's really not," Millie was stunned to see a girl not much taller than herself, she guessed. She clearly was no ghoul, that was for sure. "Nice..."

Millie realized she was staring, so she tried putting on her best "stern face" which really just looked like she was pouting. "Hey, why were you throwing rocks at me?"

Ofelia looked up as someone approached her, a cooking dangling from her mouth. It was pulled in by a combination of lips and tongue and she chewed as she got to her feet. Standing straight up Ofelia towered over this newcomer, obviously a Halloween kiddo by the state of her dress, and the redhead tilted her head to the side. Her neck made a sort of cracking sound as she did, and overall with a body riddled in scars and wrapped in bandages she looked a little....off.

"Eh? Yer talkin' ta me?" It was a stupid question considering there was no one else around but Ofelia felt like being sort of a jerk. Ever since she got her full rank up promotion she had nothing better to do then harass those lower than her.

Well that was a swell idea...

Thankfully, Millie was tired enough to not really care too much to be intimidated. Not really of any alert mental state to the danger she was probably in, Millie just addressed the hunter just as she would have addressed anyone else. The habits of a young reaper...

"Yes." She said curtly. "Throwing rocks is rude."

And immediately regretted it. Good job, Millie. Way to dig yourself deeper into the hole... Millie mentally groaned at herself and felt her muscles protest to the signal that she might need to run very soon. She really hadn't meant to have that sound like she wanted to pick a fight.

Too bad for this girl that Ofelia was ready to pick a fight then, her mood soured because she hadn't found the room she wanted to find. "Ah'm not really....in a mood to argue wit'cha." The teen raised her hand up and flexed her fingers, the bangles on the charm bracelet she wore seeming to shine in the fading light of the outdoor area. "So here's a deal - start runnin'. Ah'll give ya 'bout ten steps b'for Ah start chasin - sound fair?"

It was at this time that she moved so the emblem on her back was more visible - the mark of a hunter. Not a trainee, not a rank-in trainee - a full blown hunter.

Millie tightened her grip on her spear and stared up at the hunter with pure defiance.

She really didn't feel like running, so she tipped her spear, point down, ready to use her full FEAR attack.

And made a snap decision that running was probably the best answer as getting hurt by the hunter was not what scared Millie, but the pain inflicted by her own attack. Running would, in the end exert the least amount of energy.

Within seconds, Millie was sprinting as fast as she could in the opposite direction.

Ofelia followed after, somehow pleased by all of this. It was like she was playing a game of tag again, chasing down a classmate over the fields, and inside her head a faint cackle erupted. Rue was awake, Rue was ready.

Rue was summoned out, blades long and sharp. Her steps weren't as fast as the other's, perhaps she was giving her a chance to get ahead so the attack would be sweeter.

None the less she soon caught up and raised her weapon. "Are ya ready ta start this game'a tag?"

Millie skidded to stop and swiped at the hunter, not really aiming for anything, but to hopefully use her spear's length to keep the hunter at a fair distance.

Her annoyance at her earlier blunder kept her from saying anything in kind. No. She thought at the hunter grumpily.

This girl....didn't seem much like the ones Ofelia often came across in the house. She seemed new, like...not new to the world but new to combat, and the way she moved felt awfully green to a person that had been through several life and death situations.

So, to test it out, the redhead merely placed her hands into a boxing position before taking a jab at her opponent. The hit was okay enough that Rue got a taste of FEAR so Ofelia let it settle. "If ya don't wanna be killed, Ah suggest ya run after each attempt ta hit me. Otherwise Ah'll close the distance an' yer gonna be outta luck."

Giving really...cryptic advice was at least polite, right?

The hunter was obviously toying with her as she stabbed Millie. At least she was somewhat nice about it, but the outcome would be the same whether she was or not... Or would it? If Millie could just find her way out of here before the hunter decided the chase game wasn't fun anymore...

Ofelia gave chase once again, enjoying this new little sport they seemed to have invented together. It was much better than just duking it out, watching this little girl run, and a grin was slowly creeping over her face as she ran.

The first time she let her get away because it was fun, staying close on her heels was like a hound at the hunt, but now Ofelia easily overtook the Halloween student and raised her hand up to strike.

Her fist was brought down with a good blow and she was pleased at the sound it made upon contact. It was like a hot knife through butter, maybe, or at least she was hitting harder than the poor girl ever could. This felt nice.
