The sins of Cacophony

Just started painting my Slaaneshi warband, "The Sins of Cacophony".

I've been playing around with an airbrush and I found out that I like it, A LOT!




And here is the test-mini.





I started by spraying them with Skull White, and airbrushing them Emperor's Children pink, and then a 50/50 mix of that same pink and Ceramite White, spraying from above to "highlight".

This was followed by a thinned out wash in all recess areas, so that I could "save" the pink.
All edges have been painted black, and highlighted with a 1:1 mix of Fenrisian Grey and Abaddon Black.

I have yet to finish the base.

Anyhow...



I'm really looking forward to paint my Chaos Lord~

And now I'm waiting for a reply from ForgeWorld regarding upgrading Helbrutes to Sonic Dreadnoughts, if it's legit I'm buying two!

My painting progress is going forward, just need to buy some Abaddon Black since im out and I'm good to go~ they are all shaded though!

Also I started building some Slaaneshi Terminators and Termi Sorcerer.

I haven't finished the Noise Marines due to some unfortunate accidents occouring at home.

But I did manage to finish the Lord just now, not much work left on the Sonic Blaster guys which should be finished in due time, just gloves, eyes and power cords left to paint on them.

Maybe its just me, but the boots are a bit lacking in comparison to the rest of the mini.

Which parts did you use the airbrush on, specifically? What were the best ways to use one? I own one, but I've never really had the chance to try it out and figure the strengths of it.

Only the pink.

Primed the minis white, airbrushed Emperor's Children pink, then the same pink and white mix 1:1 on faces, knees, chest and shoulder pads.

I can't say much of it, as I've used it once while visiting a friend, he told me to watch a lot of guides on youtube when I get my own airbrush.
