Essex: Not just a place for Pimps & their Sluts

I hate the stereotype that all people in Essex are Pimps and Sluts.

If you've ever heard of Essex, have you only heard of it through its bad reputation or have you heard any of the positive things about it?

This is also a call out to anyone else in Essex as that is where I'm from.

I'm an American and even I've heard about how horrible Essex is. XD

I just know someone there. I guess that's positive..? He's a pretty cool chap - goes by the name Simon. However I can't really comment one way or another now how horrible the city is.

And i'd have to say, i do think sometimes the rest of the world who knows of essex forgets that there are people who are educated quite well from essex! never mind, we all have our sterotypes to make fun of biggrin

oh please don't say we're counting Chelmsford as the city of essex.... although half of essex is counted as London some times? (east london)

Chelmsford is the county town of Essex, but occasionally the council try to make it a city. Colchester is also a town, and will not be upgraded to city status as it will then loose its oldest recorded town status.

I am thinking.... Essex = County....... Towns like Chelmsford, basildon, romford, southend, colchester and so on
and our nearest city being .... London
