Leon continued to walk along with Madison, right by her side. "Before will be alright, hes been on missions away from the main group for awhile now." he said with a shrug. "He can take care of himself, lets get you back and get you recovered." The life hunter didn't even want to think about the horrors that awaited inside the haunted house, the things that Madison probably saw.
It made him shiver in fear, not only because of the clod that seemed to sweep over in a flash. It chilled him to his bones as he tightened the coat around his form. The ever persistent growl of Nidhogg had quieted again with the cold draft upon them. Leon learned quickly that it wasn't a good sign as he picked up the pace.
and quickly stopped in his stride when Madi sank down to her knees. "I already forgot about that,no worries." Leon grumbled out with a lopsided grin. he never expected the huntress to be fretting over that. "Pizza was pizza, there was no need for us to do something silly as fight over it, in retrospect." he insisted.
he didn't even eat that kind of stuff to begin with. "Come, lets get a move on, its getting to cold to linger like this." If he had to carry Madison on his back, he was ready to pick her up if necessary, but the fog that got thicker only made the life hunter more cautious, and aware of their vulnerability.
HP: 25/50 (with application of roll effects)

"Uh. I... I guess?" Madison made a face. "I don't remember it all that well... and this fog s**t isn't helping." She waved one hand in front of her face in a vain attempt to fan some of the fog back and clear a bit of airspace. Yeah, no, that wasn't going to work at all. "It's all home, home, <********> home. Where the ******** is home, huh?! WHERE THE ******** IS HOME."
She was shouting now, every syllable bringing back redoubled echoes. Oh god, this hurt her brain...
Madison clapped her hands over her mouth, then looked at Leon, haunted. "I'm so ********," she mumbled from behind her hands. "God."

Leon watched as Madison tried to sweep the fog away vainly. If it wasn't for the girl practically throwing a ft and ready to drop kick the fog in its non existent a**, it would have been funny. The life hunter was more concerned about Madison's state of mind.
"Hey hey, calm down." Leon uttered soothingly and placed his heavy hand son her shoulders, trying to keep the girl under control, and most of all calm. "Let's not freak out yet, alright, the house is still over there." he continued, pointing a finger at the structure that was still visible in the mist, the fog seemed to coat the building in its shroud, swirling around it, but all the sharp points, and uneven lines of the structure poked from the mists, making it still visible, noticeable.
And more creepy than before.
"Lets head back to it and try to find our way from there again huh?" he asked, giving the woman a nudge.

"Yeah... yeah, you're right, sorry," Madison mumbled, her hands slowly returning to her side. Kouki's sword-belt and scabbards appeared around her waist in a flare of light, and she rested one hand on a hilt for reassurance. At his nudge, she began to shuffle forward.
After a few steps, though, she turned around and looked at him. "Hey. Why'd you decide to... to do this?" She gestured with her free hand as if encompassing the Haunted House, the fog, and Deus in its entirety in the sweep of her fingers. "... was it worth it?"

"Its already forgotten about, even the wound to my pride from that day, all water under the bridge." Leon insisted and went back to walking. The fog only seemed to linger in place, the haze hat settled in, persisting to stay right where it was as Leon continued to strut his stride. The question from Madison was enough to have him peek over to her, the pink scarf seemed to blend in nicely with the fog.
it was a question that made him furrow his eyebrows in thought, calculating the female hunter and looking into her yes, searching for the reason as to why she would ask such a thing. "Before I took this coat in my hand, before we woe up in that mock apocalyptic world in gas masks and riot gear, I was ready to sweep the world in a featherweight title match." he uttered lowly with the flex of his fingers. "But I gave up the chance, i'll never know if I would have won or not, something i'll have to live with for the rest of my days." he continued with a sigh and put an arm on the smaller fighters shoulder before continuing.
"There was also the chance that I could have died in that match, boxers and their head trauma." he said with a grin, tapping a knuckle lightly on the side of his skull. "I'd rather give up the glory to take a chance at saving those I cared about, even if I'll never see them ever again. Even if the are probably wondering to this day what happened to me, if I choked under the pressure and ran or died without anyone knowing." he stated, showing not an ounce of regret in his voice. "I did it for them, and if it means that through my tiny actions, from our actions as a group that they might be able to live for just one more day.... then it was worth it." he said boldly, flicking a jab out in the fog and crossing with a hook at the intangible opponent.
"If it wasn't worth it to anyone, I don't think they would be standing here and now, don't you think?" he asked back to Madison. "Now, I showed you mine, so you show me yours." he barked back with a evil grin in a tone that dripped with curiosity and mischief. "Your conviction of what brought you here, that is."
