Biography:Ted trained with his grandfather in the ancient art of ninjutsu, he didn't know about digimon until the incident where Tai and Matt (along with their partner digimon) had to destroy a digi virus known as Diaboromon.

First Encounter: when Ted was on the internet, it just froze for 5 minutes but it would not turn off and after a while something appeared out of the screen, which appeared to be a digivice, when he held it up at the screen he got sucked in, and found a tiny digimon named Chibomon, Ted has been friends with it for as long as he remembers.
