Finding the corridor had honestly been a complete and total accident. But of course, no would believe Belladonna should she make it back to tell her tale. Really, she had just been idly wandering the school (alright, maybe looking for the corridor) and as her mind started to wander, so did her feet. It was only when she realized she had walked outside did she stop and discover she had found exactly what she had been (not) looking for. "Well this certainly looks... Run-down." The witch remarked as she stood at the base of a large, grey house. It didn't look formidable at all! It didn't even look lived in. If there were Hunters here, the witch didn't see them.
Belladonna shrugged once and turned back to return to the school, only to discover that behind her simply lay trees. Barren, homey looking trees, but a forest nonetheless. "OK. Maybe not..." She said as she turned back to face the tall house. So! Where were these oh-so-terrifying hunters, anyways? If they lived in a shack like this, the witch wondered over their motives. Maybe instead of being mean, they were just jealous. Halloween Town had some swank homes.

Practice was practice was practice, but a duty was a duty as well. Being assigned to Haunted House Patrol after the portals were opened had Molly a bit wary, considering her last encounter there, but she had a job to do. The portal, this time, seemed to drop her off around the outside of the Haunted House. Huh! Molly’s brows furrowed as she summoned her weapon, resting the monster lance across her shoulder. Well…regardless, one could never be too careful. Molly started to make her way around, looking at the run down house with a curious eye. It was rather eerie when she observed it like this, though she didn’t linger on the thought for too long as Vaska immediately alerted her to a source of FEAR. Molly’s head snapped forward, and it was then she caught sight of a…she was taken a back. Why…that just looked like a another young woman dressed up for Hallo— < It is a reaper, yeh twit! Most human-like only in appearance, I can smell the FEAR rolling off! Hurry and strike before the ghoul gets yeh! She migh’ know some magic!> Molly’s hesitation was cut short at that rather insistent demand by her partner, and thus the Mist trainee stepped out into the open, her giant lance drawn and ready, and pointed threateningly at the witch. Her expression was that of a stern frown with her brows furrowed.

For a long moment, the witch only stared up at the house, hands on her hips as she weighed her options. If she went into the house, she'd probably meet a hunter and have an epic battle. Or should could find nothing and just wander around and maybe take a few objects. (Because what was the point of visiting a mysterious house if one didn't take a token of their time there?) And if she couldn't find anything of use, she'd at least return with the knowledge that yes, she could access the corridor. Or she could just wait out on the lawn a little bit longer. The lawn was safe. No Hunters here! Eeerrr.... Well.... A bit of shuffling behind her made Belladonna jump and whirl around, only to be confronted with a strange sight. Though she had heard of them, Belladonna had never seen a human in real life. The SkeeV didn't count, but this girl looked... Not very Hunter-esque. For some reason, the witch was expecting something more... Big? Scary? Not so cute and dainty-looking? It was hard not to blurt out a friendly greeting as Belladonna was wont to do, but the one thing that kept her from doing just such a thing was the very decided lack of black clothing. Not a smudge of darkness resided on this girl and that deeply unsettled the witch. That and her fighting stance was a little exuberant, what with that huge lance and all. "I like your shoes." Was all that she could think to say as she straightened up a little and prepared to fight. ((Rolling for first strike. If you roll higher, feel free to double post and start the battle!))

If Belladonna was confused, Molly was in the same boat. She’d never been confronted with the sight of a creature that looked so… normal? She’d probably be a lot more hesitant if it wasn’t for Vaska’s roaring and insistent and overbearing reassurances that she was reeking of FEAR and that Molly needed to hurry up and start laying the beat down on her. The trainee swallowed nervously, and took a step closer to the witch with her lance brandished, ignoring any words from her for the time being. Getting friendly with the enemy wasn’t a good idea, obviously! AyeAvast LOL same number XD. What are the odds? Just go ahead and start rolling your next post, that's fine with me <3

Quickly, Belladonna dropped her fighting stance and only stared back at the girl. This small creature was just looking at her... Fiercely. Well, sort of fiercely. It was a bit like a kitten. They want to be all big and tough and scary, but sometimes... They're just too cute. So if she was so cute... How could she be an enemy? What was it that made her dangerous? Because this girl looked like the only thing she could hurt was herself. If she fell down on the sidewalk. Into a pit of razors. That were on fire. And then suddenly, it clicked. Belladonna noticed the large lance in her hands and she made a connection. Their weapons must function like a Reaper's does! They can talk to it! I bet that's why she wants to fight! A little proud of herself, the witch straightened her shoulders and wagged a finger at the girl. "It isn't polite to ignore a compliment. I said I like your shoes." Quickly, the witch darted forward and slapped the girl's hand before she dodged backwards. It was a small slap, but it stung. "Now you must compliment my hair or my outfit or something of the sort." This little thing couldn't hurt a fly, so the witch wasn't really all that scared. HP: 40/40 Damage: 2 Lucyal Oh my goodness, I hope that's not an indication of how this fight is going to go. XD

Confused colored Molly…especially as the…creature…humanoid thing….insisted that she compliment it. < Tell her the walls of the house will look lovely painted in her blood while I consume her FEAR…> Molly was not about to tell her that, Halloween creature or not. The Trainee was caught by surprise though as the witch darted forward and gave her a small slap. Molly yelped, drawing her hand back and waving it a bit to shake off the sting. She could move fast despite being in that poofy dress! “ I…I…really like your hair?” She squeaked out, and in retaliation, Molly quickly closed the distance between the two, defying the heavy appearance of her weapon, and pulled it back. She then thrust it at the witch, brows furrowed, listening as Vaska hungrily absorbed her FEAR. A smile bloomed on the witch's face, despite the fact that they were in the middle of a fight, and she opened her mouth to thank the girl when she was suddenly in her face and the lance had struck Belladonna. A quick cry escaped her mouth before she reached over and slapped the girl across the face. It was a bit like the hand-slap, but this one stung a bit more. That HURT!Belladonna suddenly felt a little less sure about this whole 'Fighting a Hunter like it was no big deal' situation she had gotten herself into. Did all their attacks hurt like that? Why did they get these big ol' weapons while she could only slap? Maybe next time she'd try a kick. Definitely a kick. HP: 35/40 Damage: 4

Once again, Molly yelped in surprise as Belladonna slapped her. She was use to other Hunters waving their weapons around her…but it felt… so much more personal when it involved slapping. Unluckily for Belladonna though, Molly would still be using her FEAR absorbing weapon on her. Like now. Molly steadied her footing, pulled her mighty weapon back once more, and then with a powerful step into the attack, she struck the witch once more. The Mist trainee could feel how pleased Vaska was as he absorbed more of her FEAR, his satisfaction radiating over her in waves. The red head was feeling pretty good of herself too! That was been a powerful strike, and she was that much closer to unleashing a charged attack. HP: 34/40 DMG: 9 Charge: 2/3 ; 0/2 spent

The second attack startled the witch so much that she could only throw out her hands to ward it off, however futile the attempt. One hand smacked against the girl's shoulder, but that was all. That attack had hurt much more than it should have. And due to that searing pain, the witch felt a stab of panic. What if she lost? What would happen to her? Would this Hunter destroy her or...? Maybe it was best not to worry about that, but instead just fight harder. HP: 26 Damage: 2

The red head winced as Belladonna grazed her shoulder, but was thankful that the creature wasn’t sparking her with lightning like that last creature was… She shuddered at the thought. Regardless, the witch was too close to Molly for comfort. Pulling her lance back like a base ball bat, the Mist trainee swung it around in a sweep, hoping to push the witch back and away from her. Once again, Vaska greedily absorbed her FEAR, and the weapon started to hum in excitement. Molly’s lips pulled into a hopeful smile as she glanced at her weapon. “ You’re all ready to go!” She uttered to it, her hands gripping the handle tighter. HP: 32/40 DMG: 3 Charge: 3/3 ; 0/2 spent

When the lance swung back around toward the witch, Belladonna gasped and did her best to dodge backwards, but still felt the tip of the weapon graze her. She muttered a curse as she took a few more steps back, her eyebrows furrowed as she thought over everything she knew. Should she use her FEAR? Would that even work against this Hunter? "Ready to go?" Belladonna echoed for a moment, but then she knew. If Hunters were just like Reapers, than this girl was about to attack more fiercely. Instead of running, the witch took one more step backward before she planted her feet firmly and brought her hands up in front of her in a protective stance. "Let's see what you've got." She mumbled to herself as she grit her teeth and prepared for the next attack. Belladonna has chosen to Defend!HP: 23 (So basically, for Molly's next attack we'll just subtract 6 from its total damage.)

That Belladonna was a smart creature, Molly had to admit. The young woman held her lance up and a bit up, gripping it firmly as the drill bit of her weapon whirled to life, a metallic scream filling the air. Whether she was guarding or not, this attack was going to be a doozey. Molly planted her feet firmly once more, and thrust her spinning lance right at the witch, tearing into a good chunk of the witch’s FEAR shield. Well sneeze fire and save magic. The lance was not just a lance and Jack-damn did that thing hurt! The witch cried out as it hit her, but she bit back the whimper it left lingering in her throat. It would do no good to show exactly how painful that had been, but it also would have been foolish to keep fighting. A little mad at herself for not doing it sooner, the witch dug around in one of her pockets and pulled out a deck of cards. With a flick of her hand they were out and into the air, circled around her like a protective ring. Unfortunately they would not protect her, for the next attack Molly made would be dodged by the cards. They were merely the weapon, not the shield. With another flick of her hand, Belladonna pulled one of the cards out from the circle at random and tossed it into the air above her head. The card faded away to a moon and the witch took a deep breath as she channeled her FEAR. This was something new she had never tried before, so when the full moon that appeared above her head swiftly grew dark, she knew she was in trouble. For a moment her eyes widened, but she quickly turned it into a smile. This Hunter wouldn't know that she had failed in her healing spell if she played it off. Hunters probably thought that Halloweeneers only believed in spells that involved black. Good. Let her think that while the witch thought of what else to do to save her hide... She only had one tactic left: Stall. "So what's your name anyways? Besides small, cute and curly?" Why was she sort of complimenting her?! This girl was kicking her bubble-butt! "What's your deal? Your driving factor, your purpose, your dream?" Yes. Now was a wonderful time to have a meaningful conversation with the girl who was trying to kill you. HP: 8 FAILURE ALL OVER THE PLACE WHHHYYYY

The Mist trainee stepped back after unleashing her charged attack, still feeling rather proud of herself. As the reaper pulled out some cards through and started to do some tricks with then, Molly became wary. She stared up and wide eyed at the moon that came forth, tensing, raising her lance defensive in front of her. Would it harm her in some way? She’d never seen anything like this before! It was this concern that stopped her from striking out at the witch this turn. Another look of confusion passed over Molly’s face though as the creature started to question her. What was up with them doing that? The last one did too! “ Um…” She tried not to squeak, but she couldn’t help it. “ I…really don’t see how that matters…it’s not going to change anything…” HP: 32/40 DMG: 0 Charge: 0/3 ; 1/2 spent

The moon quickly disappeared after that, fading into nothingness overhead. Belladonna looked up at it once and tried to hide her disappointment over her failure. Well, beginner's lack-of-luck she supposed. But then the girl was squeaking out replies and Belladonna was getting antsy. Her breathing was labored and she knew the battle would soon be over. One more good hit and the witch was done. There was only one option left. "Fine. Be that way." She said as she took a running start. Her path was right toward the girl and though Belladonna gave her one last fierce look, she didn't do anything but run straight past her and toward the woods. This fight was done and Belladonna was going to lose. She knew that. She also knew that running away wasn't necessarily loosing. So she ran through the forest as fast as she could. It wasn't very fast, given how absolutely tired and hurt she was, but Belladonna didn't need to run extremely fast. Just fast enough. HP: 8 Belladonna has chosen to flee the battle!Lucyal If Molly is going to give chase, roll a 20 sided dice. Whoever is highest win the chase. If she's not going to chase, YAY. XD
