Name: Heidla Hamhleypa
Nicknames: Selkie babie, Heidla (can you nickname a priestess, though?)
Gender: Female
Age: -- N/A
Original Clan: Death
Job Role: Priestess
Personality:
Capricious: the world's her toyshop, clansmen around are her puppets. But it should be admitted that as she tries to show she's no child, she tries to bridle her whims. Even more so after the tragedy, as she sees that the whole course of life is changed, and that people are less and less prone to take her seriously and play along her lines, At the moment she acts a bit confused, but
her character is supposed to become softer as she gets to know more people. Though a little tinge of capriciousness would still be evident in various situations.
Aggressive with quite sadistic tendencies. Wild little beast, that is in out-of-temple interaction. Quite mean, but is afraid of her superiors, that keeps her quiet mostly all the time. Believes in the 'priestess-super-power', that is, that any priestess is per se a rare gem! Though that is quite childish of her.
Short-tempered: Did-you-just-say-I'm-childish-you-jerk?! Shows little respect to anyone (unless you are considered her special friend/ useful connection or unless you are supposed working in a team). Moreover, seems to harbor contemt towards almost everyone around; sees her priesthood as both her vocation and a mark that singles her out; so is very proud of it.
Racist: meaning, priestesses are divided hierarchically according to their power; others clan members are dumb animals, humans are crop to be harvested. At first, seemed to be unaware (at least, pretended to be) of the existence of Halloween creatures; but now has to interact with others, and after a few painful moments of being left all alone (which she actually does not like), tries to fit in.
Impetuous and vain. If not approached with flatteries, sits sulkily on her own,
definitely bearing a grudge against the world. Seems to be shallow, but that might be just inexperience and lack of real emotions. It also seems she has not understood and accepted the ruin of the Clans.
Immature: Her mentors are hoping she will grow up. They might be right, after the fall of the Clans Islands she is sometimes seen with a puzzled expression; and she has become quieter and less pugnacious. She also tries to interact with others, albeit at the moment quite clumsily.
Serious in her priestess duties: all that said, she is still a priestess, and she takes it seriously. She would sacrifice anything for her duties, and no whims or sulkiness are allowed if her role is concerned. In her ceremonial part, she tries to do it impeccably. That is the only thing where she is demanding to herself. And you can be sure that if you need her priestess's abilities, you can be sure you will be treated with no less professionalism than by any other priestess. As far as her duty is concerned, she would not tolerate any caprice or trick.
Industrious and diligent in studying/ responsible when she takes something up serious Again, that has nothing to do with her out of temple life. It seems that she is a different person if you see her when studying the lore of the Death clan, so engrossed in it she seemed to be.... Now with so few things left.... - she is still engrossed in her studies, of course, but would the Halloweeners be eager to learn it from her? She is very proud of being a part of the Death Clan with its traditions and history. Whenever she talks about it, her features soften and her eyes gleam.
Never opens up: if taken by surprise, would act her way out. Quite a capable actress, when it comes to hide her misdemeanor.
Loves seals. In her personal mythology, seals embody the fluctuation of memory, she sees them as the keepers of the archive, and as engrossed in history/ traditions of the Death clan as she is, she feels a part of the memory of the lost clans is still kept by the seals. Somewhere. She just has to find it.
Mount Form: Shimmering grey shadowy creature with no solid form but which reminds you of a giant floating seal (well, horse-like seal); she sits on its back like on a magic carpet
Weapon Form: small silvery sickle (after all, she
is a death priestess!)
FEAR ATTACK: Selkie yawn
Cuts the air with her sickle, and the air seems to become thicker and heavier, thus, it lowers the opponent's accuracy (THE MIND LVL 2)
Physical Description:
Short and petite. Pug-nosed. Carries herself with such dignity, as if she was the crown jewel of the temple.
Eye Colour: violent icy light blue, almost white, speckled with grey sparkles when annoyed (and she is consciously annoyed), slightly slanting
Hair Colour/Style: black tresses, she ties them up, but one strand of hair always strays out
Skin Colour: fair, when angered, can become pallid
Clothing Style/Colours: heavily layered and invariably dark-grey and black; tied dramatically at the neck to drape in soft folds down the torso; piled dresses in a panoply of monotones; quite awqward and at the same time proud, as due for a priestess
NEW CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT:
- likes Halloweeners more than Horsemen (for various reasons)
- mostly acting very polite: now sticks to the principle "noblesse oblige", and feels it is her duty as a priestess to show how courteous and dignified horsemen are
- overwhelmed by new experience, can act childish.
- found out that now when she has less duties, she loves to play.
