As one tournament conclude another opens. The rules will be as follows:
-The tournament will be a straight knock-out if you lose a match your out of the tournament.

-The format is advanced so no forbidden cards.

-It is not necessary to post deck lists however you must choose either TCG or OCG and stick to it. (No mixing of TCG and OCG exclusives)

-If you play on DN then having cards you do not own is not an issue. Otherwise make sure you suitably proxy the card in order to maintain a fair match up.

-Any suspicions of unfair play are to be reported to me and i will action accordingly, or if the suspicions are towards me then it is to be one of the other officials (Rorek Orobus or Leon777Leon)

- The way in which you duel (Duelingnetwork, skype, forum etc.) is to be agreed with your opponent of the respective round.

-There is a strict 7 day time limit for each match. If unable to duel your opponent then you are to post in this forum with the details.

-Finally each round is to be a match (best of three duels)

If any further information is required please dont hesitate to post on this thread or PM me.

You sharing your deck list isn't really necessary. So long as you make the tournament on Dueling Network, proxying the cards and following the Advanced format are no problems, it's only a question of using cards that are currently not in the TCG.

Have you been opening tournaments regularly like this?

A lot of times you would think to run tournaments to gain activity in the guild, but the case for this guild and Gaia in general is the opposite. You need activity in the guild in order to run the tournament. The best thing you could do to hold a successful tournament is to further the community in the rest of the guild, and have your members doing their part again.

Deck Database is the biggest thing a dueling guild is going to have, and the biggest example to how your guild is drying out. How many times do you see decks being posted, and then left for months with no advice, no conversation or even critique/argument? You're players before you're crew; a lack of communication is going to leave you with less activity.

I hadn't considered it like that before, I think there may be something in what your saying, i will look further into this and will attempt to address the issues highlighted by your response.

slightly confused how a conversation of guild activity burst open here? Especially when critic and advise upon a persons deck is a very unlikely thing to happen, at least with the effect of a positive outcome, as to improve a deck performance you'd need to know how the deck is meant to run and so on, simply knowing the cards will give you a clue but you can't completely predict how someone will use such a deck. The most that could come from Advice and critic for a deck build is the suggestion of adding a card instead of another but again depends how it all plays out when in a game.

From my experience at "glancing" over this guild every now and then is that it is simply used as a hub, people join the guild and wait to be notified of activities taking place as part of the guild. Activity isn't really a goal from what I have seen but simply knowing there are people around who can lend a hand or to have a fun duel. I know most guilds upon gaia aim to be "Active" but activity is a farce, as high activity only grants mindless jibber-jabber and hardly anything that can be seen as respectable. But an average level of activity keeps the conversations useful, informative and to a level between mild and high in matters of being useful and upon topic.

Gaia in itself is a prime example of what happens when activity spills over what it should, the original goal and topic of the area becomes heavily blurred and filled with meaningless trash. Forcing the people who joined the area originally for its goal and topics to wade through all the crap to get to what they really came to the site for.

Sorry that's just a ramble... I suppose to sum it up I can say this; "The cake is a lie."

Now onto topic of this thread, I'll be participating.
