I tried to color the line art that was collecting dust on my computer folder...

Well, you obviously have at least a basic grasp of digitally coloring, and your lineart is nice and clean.
What are you looking for tips on? Coloring/shading techniques? User Image

You may want to look at some hair samples and tattoo's on shading of hair.

I think it looks cute for a start whee

You might want to define a light source before shading, so that you don't shade and highlight in the same places. If the light is coming from the left, imagine how the shadows fall to the right, and add more highlights on the left. I suck at explaining... But I hope you get the point sweatdrop

Tutorials are nice, but don't use them too much, really. You'll find helpful tips in tutorials all over the net, especially on DeviantArt, but try to find your own methods while learning.
