[1 v 1] A Piece of the Action (Circe/West)

The temptation had proven too difficult to ignore. After spending the weekend with his slightly crazy, very combative uncle, West had found himself itching for a fight long before before he had logged onto Groanspring and seen the message from some hapless Snot just begging to be pummeled. Actually, she hadn't seemed interested in a pummeling at all, but that hadn't stopped him from shooting off a quick reply then hurrying from his dorm before waiting for a response.

He now stood outside the gymnasium, peering nosily at every blond ghoul who strolled past. It might have been wiser to wait and see if this Circe acknowledged his reply in the first place. He didn't even know if she would show up today. West supposed it didn't matter. There was usually always someone other than him who was looking for a fight around here. If Circe didn't show, he would just beat someone else up.

To say Circe was the most excited person ever, right at this moment would be a great under statement. But in truth she was. As she skipped her way from her dorm room to the gym she could feel her heart literally racing as if in a marathon. As she approached the gym she found herself wondering what exactly this session would hold and the even bigger question was, what would West be like? All she hoped was that today she didn't get a black eye. Or two. Well, that seemed a little bit to much to hope for. But she would hope for it none the less.

When she was just outside the doors of the gym she found herself in a sea of students who were all heading into the gym today. Okay, so maybe not a sea of them, but it might as well have been with just how nervous she got. Maybe it wasn't to late to turn around. Just as she was about to make her retreat her eyes locked in on a red haired boil who, in her opinion was rather large. Both in stature and in muscle tone. Though, not quite as big as Herryk. "Aww." Circe said with a sigh. Well, that was probably West. And it was probably a bad idea to keep him waiting any longer. Taking in a deep breath Circe stood herself straight up and tried to look as strong as she could--which was pretty much impossible since she barely had any muscle at all--then walked over to West. "Are you my teacher today?" Circe asked in a friendly tone as a small smile crept over her features.

He turned at the sound of a ghoul's voice next to him, narrowing his eyes at who he presumed was Circe. Even if it wasn't, he certainly wouldn't mind... teaching the reaper.

"Yeah, think so," he said, offering her a friendlyish smirk. "Circe, right?" It was still true that he was perhaps the suckiest instructor that someone could ask for, but the boil had been subject to a lot of lessons lately. Maybe some of his teachers' clarity and patience had rubbed off on him.

"So," he said as he began to slowly walk backwards away from her, opening up a gulf of space between them. "Show me what y'got." If any sort of coherent teaching style had rubbed off of him, any lessons in how to open a "class" had not.

"At your service!" She smiled in a joking manner, trying to lighten the mood mainly for herself. Then when the boil backed away and told her to show him what she had she blinked and tilted her head. "What I've got?" She repeated in the form of a question. Then blushed. "I don't have anything but.... I'll give it a try!" Circe said with confidence even though she had a feeling this was not going to bode well for her. He looked awfully strong and not at all like he couldn't kill her with one finger.

Deciding it was better to go at it full on she took in a deep breath then charged then when she was close enough she aimed a kick at the boils ribs, hoping to land some sort of damage.

He grinned at her response and her kick, sidestepping the ghoul's attack with only a minimum of effort. So, she liked to use her legs, did she? He could work with that.

"It'sa good start," he conceded with a smirk, "for a firs' year." West lunged forward, clipping Circe with a fist. "Little lower," he said, patting his own stomach. "A good sock t'the gut us'lly hurts me more than one t'the chest."

Circe nodded and mentally took notes of what he said as he made the hit. She made a little ow sound but it was quiet. "How about this?" She asked as she put some weight into her next attack, attempting to punch the boil in the stomach this time.

The boil took a step back. She was a fast learner, if anything. "Yeah, like that. Y'gotta... jus' get in there. Dun be afraid'a gettin' close 'nuf fer yer opponent t'mess up yer pretty face."

Wait. He hadn't meant it like that. West coughed.

"That was... I was tryin'..." His brows furrowed. "That wasn't a compliment."
