Okay, so my mother just had surgery and is really taking a told on my mental health. I know it sucks to complain about her, It was worse at frist, now it is less, but still. Its just so hard to take care of someone else. Any tips to keep my sanity.?
EDIT
This happened two years ago now, so thank you for your imput but please do not comment anymore. my mother is now fully recovered after i took care of her for 6 months two years ago. again thanks for the tips but i no longer live with her so this topic has become moot

Aw...hun...you know...if she's such a deadbeat parent... why not just move out??? since you're already paying for everything anyway and doing everything...like tell her "Mother...I've had enough of you treating me like i am worthless and can't do anything right by you...If you think i don't show you any respect...then i'll just move out. I'm taking my things and leaving...I'll be out of your hair in a month, and i won't return..."
DO you think that might help?

Just remember that she cant handle this by herself. Reality, would you abandon your mother after she had surgery? I cant say if you love her or not, but if you do, isn't it all worth it to see her recover and back to work? Moving out and running away isn't the answer. it rarely is. If your mental health is going downhill, talk to her about that. Say that you need help being able to get through this as well. Maybe go get some therapy, go treat yourself to a spa day or something. If you go through with this, then it will be better off for yourself and your mother.
