I haven't been on the buying cards scene for a while, and therefore don't really know what the staples for a good Extra Deck is. I know some of the old ones didn't change. Stardust, Brionac, Red Dragon Archfiend, Black Rose Dragon are some, but what are the newer ones?
Also, on a side note. What is your favorite Synchro Monster to use? And I mean with playability. Not "He is my favorite because my favorite character in the anime/manga uses him" I mean actuall game, real life cards "You are boned because I summon my" Synchro monster.
Mine was Goyo Guardian before he got banned. Just because he was an easy as hell synchro to get, level 6, decent attack power, decent effect, very splashable in most decks. I really don't have a new favorite now.
So yeah what's yours?

Catastor is a staple.
Catastor and Trishula are my faves, as well as iron chain dragon.
