I play at Books a Million (formerly NOBLES)
When I was 9
10 Years
Cartoon Network premiering the pilot
Both starters with cards taken out and jumbled (I sucked HARD)
Left leg of Exodia (bought 4 LOB packs and didn't get any more until Metal Raiders)
No
No major wins (I'm in it for the game (translates to I'm not good enough to play major tournaments))
I trade, sell (to stores), and buy. I never play ante (I'd lose everything)
My first REAL duel was with a machine (2004 WCT for the GBA)
Favorite card(s) = Monarch series
Favorite deck is gemknights (formerly fableds)
Sometimes advanced, others traditional
I went up against a brutal deck that could easily bring out strong level 8 monsters to kill me; the thing was freaking fast. I had a monarch deck with plenty of scattered cards and beat him 2-0. Another time in a starting match in preview tournament for starstrike blast I went against a powerful plant deck (which I lost against) with my thunder deck. First turn he brought out Shooting star w/ a furious combo. second turn I beat the think by bouncing with my combo (a lucky play).
I play with all of the mechanics. sometimes I'll try swarming, others go to burn, stall, lockdown, archtype focus, milling, counters, and even just all out offensive.
For fun.
Generous. I pass around commons (even common versions of formerly rare cards) like nothing (and asking for nothing), give decent trades, and against opponents who fall behind by a lot, I give a mercy turn.
Study your rules. Advanced terms, card rulings, priorities, all of it. The last thing you want to do in the game is to look like an idiot for something you could have studied up on in 30 seconds (especially in a tounament).

1. Classified 2. 20 3. Classified 4. Brothers Grim Games 5. When first released in the US 6. I don't know, like I said, I've been playign since the US release, you do the math. 7. 4Kids (anime). Brother (real life card game) 8. Maha Vailo Equip Beat Down 9. Ultimate Treeborn Frog (yeah I suck at pulling cards) 10. no. 11. I've topped over 50 locals, but only placed 1st in 6. I have not topped in anything higher. 12. Sometimes, as packs are usually inconsistant. Yet I'd rather Buy a Pack than pay for a really expensive card like Duality. 13. no 14. Maha Vailo was my signature card. I got that thing up to insane attack amounts with United We Stands and Mage Powers. 15. My Signature Deck is Gravekeepers. 16. Spetember 2010 format. I won my First Locals that Format. 17. Using a Gravity Bind/ Level Limit Umi Deck to beat a Chimeratech Deck (when overload was at 3 and Gravity Bind and Level Limit were semi-limited) 18. Field Control and Beat Down. 19. VBecause it's fun. 20. Lucky 21. Play with your brain, not just your heart, although heart is important (top decks FTW), you need to have a strategy in your deck to make it consistant.

1.What is your name?
Chris
2.How old are you?
20
3.Where are you from?
Florida
4.What card shop do you represent or play at?
A place called Premiere Sport Cards. Though I dont go very often at all.
5.When did you first start playing Yu-Gi-Oh?
When the television show first aired here in the USA.
6.How long have you played Yu-Gi-Oh?
Since the question above...
7.Who first introduced you into Yu-Gi-Oh?
Nobody. Saw some kids at school with the cards but didn't know what they were until the show started, so didn't really pay it any mind until then.
8.What was your very first deck?
A Yugi starter deck I begged my mom to purchase while passing a card stand in a flea market
9.What was the first holo you ever pulled out of a pack?
Don't remember. I think it was an exodia piece. I pulled two right legs out of the three LOB packs i bought that day.
10.Are you apart of a Yu-Gi-Oh team?
Nope
11.Do you have any Yu-Gi-Oh credentials, Regionals tops/wins, YCS/Shonen Jump tops/wins, or Nationals/Worlds tops/wins?
Nope
12.Do you trade, sell, buy, and/or play for cards?
Occasional trade, sold a card like once, buy all the time, and between me and this one friend I have we do nothing but ante up cards in duels.
13.Do you remember your very first duel?
Yeah, I sure do. That Yugi starter deck I got, on the way home in the car, i split the deck in half and gave the half to my little brother [to use] and we had a little match. It was awful lol.
14.What is your most favorite/signature card?
Over the years it has changed. When I first started playing the game, it was probably dark magician. then Black Skull Dragon came along. After I pulled a Dark Paladin from the Magicians Force pack and fell in love with that and used it for the longest time. Then the GX era began and I went on a bit of a hiatus, dueling every once in a very long while. Then a few months before 5d's came to the states, I picked it up again and thought the E-heros were kinda cool [not the shitty vanilla heros and neo-heros the protagonist uses in the anime, but the 'nature' based ones from the manga]. So now I've just been abusing E-hero Absolute Zero.
15.What is your most favorite/signature deck?
Well, my absolute zero deck. I do have a counter fairy deck that I also enjoy very much as well, but not as much as the heroes.
16.What is your most favorite/signature format?
Advance.
17.What is your most memorable moment in your Yu-Gi-Oh history?
A very long long time ago, we had the idea that Serpent Night Dragon was the coolest thing to have. Our little yugioh circle we had went crazy when we found out that one of us in the circle had one in their deck. We dueled countless times anteing up that card for the winner to take it. It got so bad that we were getting pissed off at each other over it. So after hours of dueling, the original owner of the card finally won it back, and said "I've had enough of this!" and tore the card in two. We had no idea what possessed him to do so, but now to this day I thank him for doing so.
18.What type of playstyle do you have?
Field Control and beatdown. Like the guy above me said. xD
19.Why do you play Yu-Gi-Oh?
For fun.
20.If you could describe yourself in ONE word "in terms of a Yu-Gi-Oh player" what would that word be?
Insecure.
21.What advice do you have to pass on to the younger generation....the future of this great card game and to your fellow Yu-Gi-Oh players?
Serpent Night Dragon is a bad card.
