Story


I'm a emotional eater, been like that since I lived with my mother and her husband of the time and starved me. I was 7 when it ended. At first my body was able to burn it off because I was active but as I got older I got lazier. By age 11 I was already overweight. I hated my body, which in turn made me eat more. On top of that I was dealing with my past and the abuse. That of course made me eat more. By the age of 14 I had already tried many different types of eating disorders.

Age 14 we moved to where I am now and I was reunited with my mother. Things went horrible and I gained even more weight. That put me at 200 when I met my boyfriend. Things were going great and I was happy. I lost about 50 pounds. I thought I would lose more weight, but I'm kind of stuck.

My weight has been floating around the 150's and 160's for about 3 years now. And I need a change!

Shame on you Jess, you shouldn't get in the habit of drinking those high in calorie drinks. I really should get up and play with the daycare kids more often but today was cold and wet outside. Ugh, so I got horrible news on my birthday.My boss, who is an extremely important person in my life, has a friend who has cancer and she's on her last legs. Well my boss got a call saying that her friend most likely wouldn't make the whole. So I had to work and of course one of the parent took advantage of me and even after I said I had plans she still came 4 hours LATE (BTW I work at a daycare)

Good news though- MY bosses friend did make it through the night!!

Also-I HATE MY BIRTHDAY. As you can tell my birthday didn't go too well all my plans had to be canceled because of this STUPID mother. ugh. And that's pretty much how its been every year. Something shitty happens on my birthday making me wish that I was dead. >.>

So, as you notice I haven't been posting recently. My family and I went south to figure out to some family issues out (which by the way are not even close to getting done) On this trip I ended up gaining I think 5 extra pounds ( I now weight 153) Ugh I feel like giving up right now because when ever I feel like trying all this s**t has to pop up and I get overly stressed, which in turn makes me want to eat.

How do you guys get through all these things!?!

But I am going to start up again! I WILL!

Regimenting my life has been the only way I've ever lost weight. I'm happier with a regimen too. It sucks though because when my regimen is thrown off kilter (travel, stress, etc) it opens up this space for me to get back into old habits.

You're a very strong person to have kept yourself true despite the things that you've gone through. You can do this.

Sometimes, when I'm trying to fit back on the wagon, I don't start with food changes. I change something else. Example: Late at night is when I over eat, it can start as early as 6pm sometimes, but usually it doesn't get bad until about 9:30. Lately, I've been going to bed early. 10pm and waking up at 6 or 7. So at 9:30, I make myself some chamomile tea or something and start winding down for the night rather than making a snack.

Or I'll commit to getting up half an hour early and doing at least one set of yoga poses, sometimes I do more, sometimes I do less. But the getting up and doing it is the important bit.
