New skills = SP reset, guaranteed.
Personally I'm awaiting an AP reset, screwed up on my ancient cleric years ago and wouldn't mind a fix for his stats. Can pretty much guarantee we'll get an AP reset whenever they get around to fixing the secondary stat so it's actually required for accuracy.

It's not, otherwise statless classes would be virtually nonexistant, and I would have used my AP reset.

The reason they are existent is due to the bonuses on equipment. The secondary stat is not required for all classes, no. But their equipment require it. Warrior equipment doesn't require it because they need it for accuracy.

At the moment, whether you have the secondary stat or not, it doesn't exactly affect your accuracy, yes, you may miss a little bit on monsters that are slightly lower leveled than you but that is about it. It is mainly your level that determines your accuracy.
They are also existent due to statless weapons being available on the maple market, not cheaply, but it is still there.
SP resets are for sure. ;]
