Name: Ilztmyr'ree Kenett
Pronounciation: Ill-its-meer-ree Keeh-net
Nicknames: Myr
Gender: male
Age: 14
Height: 5'4
Faction/Race Reaper: Warlock
Personality: You know the saying "Know when to hold them, know when to fold them"? Myr doesn't. He will not even consider the fact that something is a lost cause. The only reason he'll stop doing something that he is clearly failing at is if someone carefully redirects his attention without making it obvious that his failure is getting to be physically painful for others to watch. Outwardly, he attempts to portray the idea that he has enough self confidence despite all his failings, wanting others to believe that he will be able to do anything if he tries hard enough, but there's absolutely nothing to back it up with. He can and will fail at just about everything he sets his mind to. And, quite honestly, he probably wouldn't know what to do with himself if he actually succeeded at something.
Because of all his failures however, Myr has developed something of an inferiority complex over the years from his endeavors constantly and spectacularly exploding in his face. He tries to combat it by pretending that it doesn't bother him, but if one pays enough attention they'll notice how desperate he is to do something right and be admired for it rather than just get a few odd looks and a smile or two when he walks in the room.
Surprisingly enough, considering that everything tends to go wrong around him, Myr is happily optimistic and can typically be found with a smile on his face. In his opinion, since stuff is going to go wrong anyway, there's no reason for him to get all upset about it.
He's not really the type of person to be a leader, at least at the moment, preferring to just be another member of the crowd. At least this way, if he fails too badly, the only person that he really affects is himself. He doesn't really dislike anyone, as long as they tolerate him, but he doesn't really know how to get close to people. He's been pushed away so much that he's just used to people not wanting to be close to him.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
At home, it is obvious that Myr isn't what his parents wanted, especially compared to his older brother and sister, even with his ability to do magic that his parents had been ecstatic to learn that he had. However, when they discovered that he couldn't do anything right, their enthusiasm about his powers quickly dwindled.
His grandmother, though, recognized his power for what it was, and suggested to him that he should apply to the academy. Myr was more than happy to do so, trusting in his family to know what would be good for him. He does hope that maybe being at the Academy will help him to not be so much of a failure, or, if that fails, let him at least learn how to do it in style.
He's mostly interested in the magic classes, and the clubs, although he doesn't know if anyone will let him join once they realize that he's the reason that things are going wrong.
FEAR: Aura of failure: Things just don't work right around Myr; candles go out, homework goes missing, eye-pods randomly skip songs, things like that; nothing that can't be blamed on coincidence at least at first. It's mostly concentrated on him at this level, though when he concentrates, he can occasionally cause it to effect others.
In battle, this will mean that, at least for his first year, that he will be able to cause one of his opponents attacks to mess up, whether that's by it missing or otherwise- up to other player how-. It only works once per battle, and only has a 10% chance that Myr can use it successfully.
Familiar: Being a warlock, Myr was expected, by his family, to have a familiar suitable to the position; possibly a snake, bat, or even a spider. Instead, he summoned Sneak, the black footed ferret. He was certainly not what Myr was expecting, but Sneak was his, and he wouldn't trade him away for anything, even if it did mean gaining a familiar that would please his family more.
