[Misujage]

A building made of stone that, over time, has become coated with a layer of thick moss that only adds to the beautiful splendor of it, making it quite a wonderful sight. Up the steps and through the doors will land one in a magnificently sized room. With naught but a single desk in its center, illuminated by a grand chandelier at its top, its edges are lined with what seems to be an endless amount of chairs.

A hand scribbled idly across papers that needed to be filled out. Officially joining the Five Great Nations came with a lot of detail work. Work that may keep him busy for a while, or only a short lapse of time if he worked on it thoroughly. Which he planned to do while training his Shinobi with tasks he himself would implement. His signature etched into the bottom of a bit of parchment before he laid the pen to rest. Sliding the paper away from him as he scanned over the next. "Yare yare, this certainly is exciting." he said to almost no one was he started to fill in blanks about the paper. The exams should be done soon, he had two ninja there right. Nathaniel and Naru ... at least he believed that was their names. He did not know them quite well enough to be certain. This was becoming dull, perhaps he should explore his Village a bit. See what the ninja were doing. Standing from his desk he made his way out.

Shigeru arrived at the Yukikage's office building. It resembled an Aztec temple except with stairs only up it's front side. It was a large building atop countless stairs. The height of the office was so great that it overlooked the village from the back. Shigeru liked the symmetry of it all. He had lived in the village all his life and did not notice the beauty of it all anymore but the Yukikage's building was always so grand that it demanded the attention fo anyone who entered the village. Shigeru was calmly walking up the stairs to the office. As he neared, he noticed ANBU shinobi standing outside the door. They were lined up and erect. Shigeru stepped up the last step and approached the ANBU. Shigeru stopped near the shinobi. One of them put his hand up in order to stop him from proceeding. Then, the ANBU explained to him why he could not enter and why the Genin had been called. Shigeru nodded and told the ninja that he had a friend that was on her way. Shige spoke of Jae although he did not know her very well. Perhaps being sent on a mission together would be the perfect opportunity. Shigeru, however, was unaware of just how dangerous the mission was.

Arriving after Shigeru, Jae skidded to a halt, almost crashing into Shigeru. Jae had been too preoccupied with trying to memorize the surroundings of the place she had been in. It was even more beautiful up close and she would not mind spending her time up her sketching. Looking from around Shigeru, Jae spotted the ANBU who was giving her a reproachful look. Although the girl was sweet with everyone, she did not tolerate such things and narrowed her eyes at the village ANBU. "What's going on Shigeru?" She asked, not taking her eyes off from the ANBU. I thought this was a meeting with the Kage.... The girl shrugged of Shigeru's coat, and handed it back to him, still staring the ANBU down.

Shigeru heard Jae catch up with him from behind. He turned to see her quickly making her way up the stairs. Jae looked a bit displeased as she arrived, looking past him to the ANBU member who had stepped forward to explain the situation to Shige earlier. Jae removed Shigeru's coat and he took it without thinking. "Well, it seems that the Yukikage is unstable at the moment so we can't enter right now." Shigeru said putting on his coat. The ANBU shinobi behind him watched the two speak without moving. "The reason we were called was to become a part of a squad in order to take on a mission." Shigeru explained to Jae, fastening the belts on his coat now. He then looked up to Jae in order to continue. "We are going to be led by a Jounin by the name of Nakuro.." Shigeru was interrupted by the shinobi behind him. "Nakura Seishin." He said. Shigeru nodded at his words. "Thank you." Shigeru said glancing behind him before returning to face Jae. "We are to wait here until further instruction. Their words exactly." Shige said raising his eyebrows slightly smiling a bit.

It took Jae's mind a moment to finally whir and process the information passed onto her. Moving her frigid gaze off of the ANBU she listened intently to Shigeru who was relaying what was told to him. The other nin pitching in when the boy had gotten one part of it wrong. It disturbed her a little bit to know that their kage was 'unstable'. Flickering her bright blue gaze towards the office of the Yukikage. "A mission with a Jounin named Nakuro." She repeated trying to sum up the already vague information she had gotten. Placing her hands on her hips and scowled, turning to look at the ANBU who remained in the hall with them. As strong as ANBU were they could not get into the office? "So it's safe to assume this mission is going to be difficult huh..." She added, looking at Shigeru now. Her unpleasantness was not caused by him but by the way this news was being relayed to her. Word of mouth and not by their Kage. Either way she was up for anything at this point in time. It would be good experience for her and would remove her form her parents watchful eyes.

Shigeru looked curiously at Jae when she talked about the mission being difficult. He wondered what it could be. Perhaps it had to do with the Yukikage's state. Was he truly troubled so much that he could not brief us himself? He seemed healthy enough today. Although it was a bit strange to have been approached by him personally. Crisis seemed distant. Like something was on his mind.. Shigeru had turned his gaze to the empty space beside Jae. "It could be serious". A deadly mission assigned to the spare shinobi of the Snow. Shigeru then shook the idea away. They were Genin and would not be sent on a mission above their rank. Would they? Shigeru thought. He saw Jae put her hands on her hips, looking displeased. Maybe she was impatient. Her eyes were serious or as Shige guessed: unsatisfied. Even in such a state, her eyes still held the same stunning ability. Shigeru found himself losing his train of though in Jae's clear eyes. He could find not a better color for eyes to be. Shige then realized that he was staring and immediately shifted his eyes to the buildings down behind Jae, past the stairs. Shige smiled at his own attempt to seem inconspicuous. He did not look back to see if Jae had noticed.

Nakura Seishin

Her legs would shuffle quickly down the side of the office, feeling the cold within it immediately as it radiated through slight cracks. She would land before the ANBU and dismiss them back to their posts. She looked at the two unfamiliar faces before her and tilted her head. " Are you two the Genin they sent? " She inquired while overlooking the two. They didn't seem like much, but nowadays Genin were a lot more powerful than they initially let on. So their skills could be perfect for this type of mission.

[ For sake of Time and ... everyone else taking too long to come. I am accepting these two Genin. No one else may enter. =] try next time. ]

Moving a hand to her chin, Jae pondered what it was that was going on exactly. Glancing at Shigeru through the corner of her eye she noticed he was looking away. Before she could call Shigeru back from his daydreams someone appeared to dismiss the ANBU. This was the Jounin that would lead them. Jae crossed her arms across her non existent chest and peered at the older woman. "Are you the Jounin that is supposed to lead our group?" She asked in turn, her cheerful expression was a mask against her reproach to the Jounin's comment. "Is the Yukikage alright?" She asked the woman, genuinely concerned about the current situation dealing with their Kage.

Shigeru heard a sound from behind where the ANBU were and turned to see what it was. There stood a kunoichi. She wore a short black skirt and a small top. Her hair was a dark color. A scarf was loosely sitting around the female shinobi's neck. She was a complete woman shinobi. Something about her caused a spark within Shigeru. She commanded the ANBU member that had stood by them to return to his post. She has authority.. Shigeru thought. The kunoichi then turned to face them. Shige noticed that she wore an eyepatch on her right eye. There must be a story behind that. She seemed very feminine to Shigeru and forced him to smile. When she asked if they were supposed to be who they are, Shige only grinned dumbly and nodded, letting Jae speak for them.

Nakura Seishin

Nakura looked to each of the Genin in turn, Shigeru simply nodding as the young girl took her turn to ask a question. Would could take it as being inquisitive, but most took it to be someone with more or less a smart mouth. In either case, Nakura did not let things of that nature flex her mind to much. She instead responded adequately as she should. "Yes, I am Nakura Seishin. As far as the Kage's current status, it cannot be determined. No one can get close enough to him to perform a full examination. Meaning his turn out depends on the success of this mission." She looked back towards the office building as she spoke, eyes almost allowing sorrow to fill them before she came back to and addressed the two before her once more.

"Your names and primary abilities?" Coordination in battles was always dependent on the abilities of those around you. With the pressing issues of time, Nakura could not fully analyze their abilities. So their weaknesses may go unnoticed, but she could at least know each others strengths. As per the announcement sent out as well as the debriefing, they should already know hers.

Jae's mind went numb for a moment. This was indeed something extreme. Something the girl was not exactly sure she was one-hundred percent ready for. Jae was a little worried she would not be allowed to go on this venture. Her heart was willing to do anything for the leader of their village but sometimes that was not enough. "Jae Ukiyo. Basic Genin training..." She said, her words faltering despite the passion for this mission she was feeling. Clenching her tiny hands she awaited Nakura's evaluation. This Jounin was the only one who could determine whether or not they were allowed to press forward or not.

It was revealed that the woman was Nakura, their Jounin. She was there to lead them on their mission. Shigeru stopped smiling when she mentioned the Yukikage. So it is up to us to return him to normal.. All excitement escaped Shigeru as he thought about Crisis. The Yukikage was in trouble and he needed their help. It was an opportunity that could not be denied. Shigeru straightened and was now fully focused. It seemed that his wish had come true, sadly. Shige was now involved with the village's affairs. Involved directly. Once Nakura had asked them each their strengths, Jae spoke first. Her response was shocking. Doesen't she specialize in anything? Shigeru looked at Jae a bit confused but responded since it was his turn. "I am Shigeru Senju. Taijutsu user. Mokuton weilder." Shigeru had a serious expression on his face. This could easily be an 'A' ranked mission and Jae did not have any aces up her thin sleeves. Then it struck him. She must have something so incredibly powerful that it would disturb their Jounin so Jae was keeping it to herself. Shigeru nodded to himself. That must be it.

Nakura Seishin

Nakura thought for a moment, basic genin training was a troublesome thing. She specialized in nothing as of now, and that would certainly complicate things in a mission. Though battles between ninja were not always dependent on who knew more jutsu. This was a lesson Crisis stressed quite often, and one Nakura picked up all too easily. "Jae, Shigeru. I hope you take this seriously, it may be our only chance." Nakura unlatched a holster she wore and handed it to Jae. This small pouch contained around thirty tag bombs for her to use as she pleased. It was not conventional for her to give these up, but in case the girl had nothing truly it would be best that she had 'something' to rely on. "Forgive me if I sound harsh, but there is no guarantee that you will survive [you won't die]. I have to take this opportunity and save the Yukikage, I cannot allow anything to deter me from that goal. If you understand, come along. If not ... you won't be looked down upon for cowardice." With that Nakura bypassed the two and began to walk away, calling back once to the duo before heading towards the docks. "Ikuze!"

Shigeru's eyebrows rose slightly at the bag that Nakura had handed to Jae. Thirty explosive tags were inside. If that ever caught fire, it would be disastrous. It was certainly a double sided feeling. Everything was to Shigeru. In one hand, if Jae knew how to effectively use them, she would be much safer. On the other hand, it is very easy to go wrong with so many explosives in one place. Shigeru wondered about Jae's style, her strategy. Once again, he worried for her. Shigeru's thinking was interrupted by Nakura's movement. It was time for them to leave. Shigeru's eyes went from Nakura's head to her black skirt as he walked down the stairs behind her. Shigeru had forgotten about Jae as he walked past her. The impulsive smile had returned and all was right again.
