lizbot The Bin had been going a bit crazy lately due to the sudden influx of students, and Hellma was beginning to grow a bit wary. Which explained why she was crouching behind her desk, sneaking peeks at it while it munched on the latest application. It belched. She waited. It scratched itself. She waited. And waited."Huh."

Name: Lilura Balandria (means "Enchantment of the Ressurection" in Basque and Spanish) Nicknames: Lily Gender: Female Age: 16
Faction/Race Reaper Weapon: Tartalo, an animated Scythe.
Personality: Resident book worm is a good description of this witch. She has been under her mother's instruction until she was able to come to the school. She has a very large burden to bear being the next Head of the House so Lily can be rather obessive about learning. Lily can be something of a loner, prefering the company of her Scythe, Tartalo, but enjoys the company of demons since they enjoy her abilities and her family has sold their services to them in the past. However there is a string of mischief in the little witch. After all how often does your salt shaker suddenly dance across the table when you reach for it. Or maybe your book suddenly bites you? You can be sure Lily is around. Also, unlike many witches, Lilura does not have a familiar in the form of a animal. In fact she rather dislikes small living things. Given her powers she prefers the inanimate objects of the world, like the acceptance bin! This is why Tartalo also acts as her familiar, he was created when Lily was born and has been with her ever since. He feels like a guardian despite having limited movement, just beweare of those teeth if you make his little one cry.
Why did they enroll at the academy? Lily is the next female in line to head the Balandria House. She comes from a long line of "animators" of all types so she needs to perfect her abilities before entering the family buisness. She hopes to prove herself worthy of her title.
Magic: Like the women of her clan, Lily can bring objects to life to help her. Her specialty happens to be everyday inanimate objects. She can't make flowers or trees come to life, only nonliving or man-made things. Think of The Sword in the Stone and Sorceror's Apprentice. However, due to her limited abilities, she can only do this to small objects. Anything bigger than a basketball is too big for her to control. One day she hopes to be able to create and control the creatures known as Mimics and sell them to the rich as traps or protection....or for fun. Some are in the form of chests, others are in the form of books, and still even the wierdest ones have been vases. She feels that will be the ultimate spell.
FEAR: In a fight she prefers to have small items of her opponant's clothes distract them. Her favorite thing is enchanting the other person's shoe laces or a lovely scarf in the face. The clothing cannot harm the person, but it's sure hard to attack when your belt refuses to hold up your pants. The animated item can only obey simple one word commands as they have no real intelligence yet. The clothing stays animated unless it is dispelled by Lilura or is some how restrained. Of course those creatures who where very little clothing are not really affected. But mummies suffer in so many ways!
Extra Lily's family is very matriarcal. All the women in her clan are known as "animators". Her mother is good with plants, which makes her garden a very dangerous place to tread. Her aunts use their powers on actual dolls such as patchworks and one even animates only bones! Her grandmother was good with more fleshy corpses, being able to reanimate the body without a soul. Caused a few zombie problems but no one says much about it. It was her great-grandmother that gave Lily her dream. Her talent had also been non-living things and was said to have learned the secrets of giving her mimic's souls. That made them rather hard to destroy as they had a will to live. She was the most famous member of the clan and Lily seems to have inherited a need to be just as great. There are days she is jealous of her older brothers, all of whom are elemental warlocks. Sometimes she just wants to shoot a fireball at someone but sadly cannot.

The name Reaper is the collective term used to describe the people of Halloweentown who look... well, very humanoid. In fact, those who have been to the Human World can note the uncanny resemblance Reapers have to humans, save for the fact that they don't explode upon entry to Halloweentown. Unlike the other four faces, the different types of Reapers as subclasses rather than subspecies. Reapers are noted largely for their affinity to Fear, as Reapers are the most magically inclined race despite looking like the magicless Fear-generating humans.
Reaper Racial Ability Summon Weapon: A Reaper's weapon is the physical incarnation of their natural Fear. Every Reaper knows how to call upon his or her weapon -- they need to summon said weapon in order to be able to perform any magic. While a Reaper's weapon is something to be reckoned with, in officiated spars it deals non-lethal damage. Even if a scythe is razor sharp, the Fear that it channels may only be enough to cause a small papercut on an opponent's arm.
A Reaper can summon/dismiss their weapon at will. They are unable to perform any sort of magic or Fear ability without their weapon. Summoning/Dismissing a weapon does not weaken a Reaper's Fear.
Weapon Guidelines: •Reapers are the ONLY Race in This is Halloween allowed to wield a weapon. •Weapons can be summoned and dismissed at will. •Weapons can grow and change over time, just like students. A Reaper's weapon IS the physical form of their natural Fear, after all. •A Reaper cannot cast magic at all unless their weapon has been summoned AND they are touching it. Reapers channel their magic through their weapons. •Not all weapons are created equally. While a laser sword with guns on it that shoots other swords on cold fire sounds awesome, it won't fly. Please keep the setting in mind! Fantasy is okay, sci-fi is not.
