────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Warning! This roleplay may offend narrow-minded religious people. → s t o r y - - - ! ! ---[X] had quite the perfect life: his parents (High Priest and Priestess of their coven) love him, he has friends, top grades. But when his family moves to a new town so his sister can be handfasted to the love her life, [X] meets [Z], cousin of the groom, and his life gets turned upside down. ---Coming in at the middle of the year, school in the new town is rough. Sure, [X] finds plenty of friends, but just as many enemies, including [Z] who only seems to dislike him for his religion. It isn't likely to find [X] and [Z] in the same room without them debating their beliefs, so how could anything akin to love conspire between them?→ p l a y e r s - - - ! ! ---- Z stubborn - serious - control-freak - Christian - seme } || Taken: edluver1992---- X witty - smart - kind - Wiccan - uke } || Taken: Marie Bellamy → r u l e s - - - ! ! → -Obey the ToS → -Literacy; minimum paragraphs: 1, maximum: 5 → -Keep it work-safe → -If choosing X's character, you must have some knowledge in Wicca → -PM me with your character's code, titled: 'Merry Meet!'→ e x t r a - - - ! ! → - 6/24/10: Opening of 'Practical Magick' → - 6/26/10: The first post is made → - N/A→ c h a r a c t e r --c o d e - - - ! ![imgright]URL char.pic. 250x300 max[/imgright] xxxxxxxxxxxxCharacter's Name (X or Z) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxUsername

He prays before every meal and before going to bed each night. He is very verbal about his religion to anyone who disagrees with him. Since his cousin is marrying outside the religion, to a witch, he's almost completely prepared to say he doesn't even have a cousin. Other than his die-hard beliefs, he's a pretty laid back guy. He hangs with his best mate, Liam, and gets along fairly well with others, as long as religion never comes up in the conversation. Imiya was born in Great Britain, and was raised there until he was ten. Even though it's been eight years since he moved to America, he still has a slight accent, and occasionally uses British sayings. (dis) l i k e s - - - ! ! --- Imiya likes reading and writing (in secret), God, and sports. He dislikes anyone who isn't Christian, and who tries to tell him that he's too stubborn. o t h e r s - - - ! ! ---Imiya's best friend, Liam, is Jewish, though Imiya and Liam get along just fine.- - - - - - xxxxxxxxxxxxAidan Pan Winters (X) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxMarie Bellamy a g e - - - ! ! ---Sixteen. g e n d e r - - - ! ! ---Male. b a c k g r o u n d - - - ! ! ---About the time Aidan adopted a stray cat he named Maya, his elder sister, Bridget, was engaged and ready to marry a man who shared the Wiccan belief. The family made the last preparations with their coven and moved to a small town across country. Upon coming into the school, word had gotten around of his religion since the wedding and Aidan made quick connections, but even faster enemies. His parents are a little busy organizing the new house and coven to help him with school life, but Aidan thinks with a protection spell and helpful guidance from the Goddess he'll be able to survive his remaining years in high school. (dis) l i k e s - - - ! ! ---Likes to make new friends, take long walks in the morning, and meditate. Aidan has a strong dislike to cruelty, R&B, and coconut and peanut butter. Creating spells isn't his forte, either. o t h e r s - - - ! ! ---Maya is his familiar; her ears were ripped off by superstitious neighbors. His favorite band is MUSE, and his favorite food is frozen yogurt.

Aidan did not ride the bus in the mornings, nor did he have a driver's license. He walked to school, every weekday since he found where the school was located. It wasn't terribly far from his house, and it gave him plenty of time to himself on the way there, but it was too far to walk two miles in the cold. Gray clouds loomed and flecks of white emptied from their pregnant bellies while Aidan waited almost patiently by a stop sign, coat pulled taut against him.
September was just ending and it was already snowing. Imagine that. Aidan figured it was because this new town was perched in the Sierras, closer to the chill of the weather. Three inches of snow crunched underfoot and a prediction of three more as the day continued. Aidan didn't particually like the cold so he willed his teeth to quit clattering while waiting for the bus.
Some time around seven, a long yellow bus appeared from around the corner, and Aidan reached into his coat pocket for his mother's letter to be given to the driver. It explained why he would be on the bus when he usually was.
The driver took it without so much as a grunt before tossing it onto his dashboard. Aidan stood there with surprise for a moment until the driver jerked his thumb down the alise. "Well get on, kid. We don't have all day." Aidan nodded jerkily and scanned his bi-focaled eyes over the small swarm of kids on the large bus. It seemed out-of-place, somehow; the bus nearly wasn't through with its routine.
His eyes swept over a familiar face and Aidan paused in his steps as the bus started up again, rolling down the street to its next stop.

Imiya groaned. His witchy cousin was not riding the same bus as him. He gave Aidan a glare that clearly said he was not welcome in the empty seat next to him, and followed him with his eyes to make sure Aidan didn't try to sit next to him. Imiya then adjusted his headphones in his ears and went back to the Christian Rock music he was listening to.

Aidan downcasted his eyes at Imiya's hateful glare and sat behind the driver so he'll have quick access to the door when it stopped in front of the school. It was too early in the morning to have an arguement when no one's views would change, or if Imiya wouldn't become lenient to other people beliefs.
The bus drove for possibly another fifteen minutes, the seatings becoming filled with peers Aidan hardly knew the names of. Some waved at him, other gave him odd glances. Aidan nodded to everyone who made eye contact with him to be polite, then sooner than later the driver pulled in front of the high school. Aidan stood behind a few others, but hurriedly hopped off the bus to the front doors. It was still cold, possibly colder than it was before, and Aidan wanted to get inside as soon as possible.

Oh, freaking no way on Earth was this happening. Imiya walked into his first period Honors World History class and resisted the urge to turn around and walk right back out. Aidan was sitting in the front row, a little black book on the corner of his desk, flipping through text book. "Hey, Devil worshiper," he muttered as he walked past to his seat. "Cursed anyone lately?" Imiya smirked and dropped his books on the desk two desks behind and one across from Aidan.

Aidan narrowed his eyes at Imiya since it wasn't so early in the morning any more and the warmth from the heaters defrosted his sharp-tongue. He grinned chillingly with his glare as he turned in his seat to bite at the bait. Even Aidan couldn't refuse an ignorant hater every-now-and-then.
"Do you mean aside from you? No, I haven't done that since last week," Aidan said with a look of superiority. "Have you noticed any strange symptoms lately that would cause you to act less than the average jerk?" He didn't dare mention that he's been praying lately for peace for his school days.
The dark-haired teen noticed Imiya's shifty glances to his notebook on the desk and couldn't help but roll his eyes dramatically. Picking it up, Aidan tossed it to the teen who jumped back in momentary fright.
"It's a notebook. For taking notes. You know, school?" Did Imiya really think he would bring his Book of Shadows to school? Heck, his Book of Shadows wasn't even black, nor was it a notebook.

Imiya eyed the notebook disdainfully, cautiously opening it. He skimmed the notes written in short hand. "So this is where you keep all of your prayers to the devil, written in code so no one knows what you're talking about," he sneered, throwing the book back to Aidan. "Whatever. Keep your devil worshiping books away from me, satanist."

Aidan gaped at him, flipping the notebook to the first page and began reading aloud: "We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the generate welfare, and secure the blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Prosperity, do ordain and establish this Constitution of the United States of America." He stared hard at Imiya for it to sink in.
"The Declaration of Independence preamble? That's Satan's work?" Aidan asked, tone full of disconcert. "Goddess help me if it's true. I'd buy a ticket to leave this country if it's runned by anything of the sort." The bi-focal teenager didn't think he was hardly pushing through the someone so thickheaded as Imiya, and a thought caused him to leap from his desk and march to Imiya's determinedly.
He braced his hands on each side of the desk top, leaning forward a bit as he didn't even bother to lower his voice. "I solemnly swear on everything I hold dear that I do not believe an evil being proclaimed as Satan exists, nor do I believe that so called devils - 'Satan's minions' - roam this earth while I live on it. What proof have you that is certain I worship your anti-God? And please, hear this again: your anti-God. Not ours. Nobody can worship something that doesn't exists. And to Wiccans, that something that doesn't exist it your - there's that word again - anti-God."
Finally, Aidan pushed up, arms folded across his chest. "Anything else, good Christian sir?"

Imiya glared at him. "Get away from my desk," he growled angrily, a muscle in his lip twitching as he wrinkled his nose. He looked towards the desk next to him as Liam came in a set his books down, staring at Imiya in shock. "What's going on, Imiya," he asked in a slightly worried voice, looking from Aidan to Imiya and back again.

Aidan did not back away as told but held his ground, while possibly a small quake of apprehension went up his spine. He looked to Liam as he neared, hoping he would see Imiya's foolishness.

Liam gave them a pleading look. "You guys, please don't fight. You'll get detention or ISS or something," he sighed as he sat down and pinched the bridge of his nose, knowing full well what was probably going on between his best friend and Aidan. He'd gone through the same thing when he'd first met Imiya. "Can't you work your differences out without yelling?"

The dark-haired teen smiled wearily at Liam. "I can if he would calmly listen to me, and believe me when I say I am not a Satanist, but it's not like he'll hear a word I say." But at Liam's cautious warning, Aidan looked behind him and still didn't see a teacher come in the room, but he sat down in his desk anyway. He's already had two warning from the World History teacher about his arguing in class, and one more and Principal Gibbons would call home.
