okay, so my band director's pretty cool. one of his favorite bands is the mighty mighty bosstones i guess. crazy, right?
it gets better.
so my friend eric and i were bugging/trying to persuade him to get a copy of either the impression that i get or awfully quiet to play for pep band.
so today we sight read the impression that i get. biggrin biggrin biggrin

hard for me to discuss anything about, sens I'm a skinhead and all my friends are in to ska(me to xP)...but I meet a metal head to day that liked some ska!

I was wearing my RBF shirt since it was the one month anniversary of my first show experience. My band director was staring at me and finally walked up and said "wow I haven't listened to them in a LONG time." I was a bit confused... "reel big fish was my favorite band something like 8 years... back when I was a senior in high school...." I realised my shirt and as he slipped into a nostalgic dream I slipped out the door. ninja

now when ever I wear that shirt all threee of my BD's smile and tell me stories about how they memorised songs and such (all 3 are around the same age. and all play brass. I luv'em but gawsh are they weird sometimes.)

My anthro teacher introduces ska to his geography and world affairs students. It kinda bums me out that all the sophmores hate it. He usually plays Doesn't Make It Alright.

My friend jsut realized yesterday she was raised on RBF by her father, but never knew that was their name.
Anyway, the only shocking person I have ever found who's into ska is our choir director.
I'm hopin' he'll help out ska band with some of our music.

hahaha, yeah. all the ska kids i know are in band.
but not all the kids in band are ska kids.

wait, do you play the drums if so thats fine, im a band nerd but i play the drums so its like acceptable to the other kids in the school and i dont get made fun of for it like alot of kids do

Not ska, but we played "Sing Sing Sing" in band in the beginning of the year.
I was really surprised to find out a sort-of-big group in my school really likes RBF and Sublime...
However, they're all stoners, so I shouldn't really have been surprised.
