I've made this topic because I'm a huge fan of the card this topic is about.
While it may be old news to most, I just had to point it out that in Turbo pack 2, they have reprinted Necrovalley. To my great surprise and delight, it had gone through an errata.

TU02 Necrovalley
Negate the effects of Spells, Traps and Effect Monsters that target a card(s) in either player's Graveyard. Cards in either player's Graveyard cannot be removed from play. All "Gravekeeper's" monsters gain 500 ATK and DEF.

Until now, Necrovalley has stated that it negates effects that involve or affect cards in the grave. I have used this card for years and people have never really understood what the card actually did because of these confusing key words. This has been fixed now, so lets all do a dance now that it says what it truly does.

Cool, not that big a change though compared to alterations to other cards.

well the people in my area don't like to think so i constantly get people that have asked before, "will sangan's effect be negated?" or "what about mystic tomato?", and my favorite, "does it keep plague spreader from being removed?"
so I'm REALLY hoping that the change will help them.

You can hope but most people don't understand "target", cost, "tribute" and "destroy".

The biggest issue is having the errata'd version. If you don't have it they're unlikely to be convinced.

Anyway was this announced or have you been on a small mission and found it out yourself?

i have a play set from the turbo pack and just felt that it should be noted for all that haven't seen it yet.

Ya, i found out after our round in the last tournament when u versed me with gravekeepers that i didnt have to destroy necrovalley in order to use my rekindling, since rekindling doesnt target.

I think the target thing made necrovalley weaker tbh.

Not weaker, clearer. It's always been this way.

The erratas that affect our card effects are done so to fit their appropriate terms, not change them.

im aware but when ur at a tourny and u read necrovalley says "affect" and not "target" then its a huge difference, and makes it appear to be more powerful.

also, if it originally said "affect" and the original ocg ruling is as such, then that was the original intention of the card. It got re-ruled and errated to say target awhile back.
