haha, I am just like that. Now whenever i see a band name here i go download their songs, so i'm getting to know more of the bands. and when i dont have time to download, i keep a list. most of the time I like all the bands i hear. heart

I like Hawthorne Heights, MCR, and The Used. Though now I like alot of other bands too from coming here and I'm like I'm going to check them out. Then when I hear most of them I'm like fatabulousistic music!

go to purevolume.com and listen to some random punk bands... or check out there top 20 on the front page. youll find some "real" emo bands and hopefully somthing you like.

Try listening to some semi-mainstream bands and then proceed to the more "Emo" bands. I recommend Silverstein. It's ok though if you listen to those bands.

"Emo" is just a label. What matters is the music and everyone has a different taste in music. I listen to those bands you just mentioned (except MCR).

Exactly. Never let anyone try to demean you or be condescending to you based on your musical preference. That just makes them look like an even bigger idiot for being such an a**. You are who you are, no matter who or what you listen too, and no one can base judgement on that, lest they be judged. I like some of the same stuff you do, and that doesn't mean I'm not emo, or less emo than anyone else. Well maybe...I've been deemed 'gothmo' by a few...o.O Haha!

Chances are that if it was made in the last 7 years it isn't emo.
