The problem with your list was plain consistency. Machinas can handle many duels almost completely pure, and like Lightsworn, they have a nearly fatal flaw of being incompatible with anything else.
As it is in Lightsworn how you don't want to stop your mill short with a critical first turn hand, Machinas have to search, search, search, search. Cramming the deck with Genex and Equip Spells that show again and again how lousy they are when it comes to the monster removal, it all just clogs a hand and prevents a field from being born.
Cyber Phoenix is one card you seemed to have a problem with, because in Attack mode, for you, is a flaw. So what? You use the monster removal and then you have guaranteed a limit of control on the field, you let Cyber Phoenix get hit when it's appropriate, and filter out everything else that's not.

Arguments can be turned into debate, and debate is key to information from any forum-structured site. I wasn't simply to insult, but to counter your logic with my own.
However be it shallow, because in my world, the capability and performance of Power Tool Dragon is commonly known to be mediocre at best.
Locking threads when little push-shove shows up denies discussion to develop from both points of view for any topic. Wait until it becomes a real b***h, then you'll have something on your hands worth getting rid of. I wasn't about to jack your deck and turn it into World War III.

Other than that detail, I really have no complaints with this build. "To each their own...", I always say.
