I played with both kind of decks and I have to say both of them

Blackwings for the following reasons:
1.they're actually making it to the top of most tournaments
2.they can synchro summon which unlike fusion summon isnt quite as specific, monster wise
3.blackwings can swarm much, much faster
4.they're dark-attributed and winged beast type monsters which means more support
5.they have even more support coming in "the shining darkness"
and "duelist revolution."
6.many, many more reasons that I don't feel like typing so we'll just leave it at etc.

Freed the Benevolent In the OCG, E-HERO Fusebox is scary good. Anata wa watashi ga zutto mae ni "sayounara" to yutta hito wo omoidasaseru.
Admittingly, this kid's right.
Fusebox can be scary...but it's unstable..and OCG only.
Overall, Blackwings are better in the tcg meta-game.
Then again, the meta gets shakeups every time new packs are released. Who knows, by the time we get the good e-heros, they may actually be a good enough for nationals.
Though, as its looking now, Infernities will top this meta with Sabers taking over Glad's wild card and Blackwings staying strong.
Mist Valley and Ice Barrier archtypes might end up a decent contender down the road, maybe as anti-meta, but it's not looking great. They'll probably top tier 2 at best.
You remind me of someone I said goodbye to a long time ago.

There are tons of variations of how each archetype is built, so it's hard to say which is better because a well built Elemental Hero Deck could do as well as a well built Blackwing Deck.
If I had to say what my favorite archetype is, I'd have to go with Blackwings.

i like EH better just because they're cooler but BW is much better in actual gameplay lol

In terms of what I actually LIKE better, Elemental Heroes. No doubt.
In terms of what actually WINS better, Blackwings.

Yeah. I Like Elemental Heros way more! But its true that Blackwings are definitely better in tournament game-play. They're a top ranking deck. But if Elemental Heros had their supporting cards out right now, they would be so much better. That's just my opinion.
Still, I plan on creating an Elemental Hero deck that can beat any Blackwing deck. I haven't done it yet because they don't have enough support. But I'm still trying to think of something. Everybody says that Elemental Heros won't make it passed the first round of a tournament. So I'm gonna prove 'em wrong. ;D
