Okay. I've got myself a date. I'm so proud of myself.
But tomorrow, he'll drive a few minutes to my town, pick me up and we'll go for coffee.
But see... I haven't been on a date in... eight months? And I was hoping that you guys could help me come up with some conversation starters? Anything at all, really. Maybe tips on how I should act?
I'm so nervous. I can't focus on anything but this, and it's driving me crazy.

Ask him how the weather is!!! Jk, jk. I'm not trying to be mean by saying that I'm just showing how terrible I am at starting conversations...... I think you'll do great!! Keep calm and be yourself!

Thank you.
I don't know, I'm just so nervous. I know I'll do fine, I can't embarrass myself TOO much... I just don't want the awekward silences.

If a moment of silence comes say something random to start another conversation. Or drink your coffee for a little bit.....

Ask him about himself:
What are you passionate about? What do you like to do when you are not at work or at school?
If not in high school: Where do you work? Or, where do you go to school? What are you studying?
Do you have any brothers or sisters? What is your family like?
Do you have any pets? Do you ever wish you could have a certain type of animal for a pet?
How do you feel about: (any social issue or current news event)
Be sure to provide your own answers to the questions either before or after you ask so he doesn't feel like he's on display.

If he's the funny type and you have an awkward moment Say:
"Every awkward moment of silence a gay baby is born"
It works on funny people. ^^

Haha Thats Funny!~
I Would Talk About Stuff You Normally Talk About When Around Your Friends Or What Not. When You're Both In Silence Start Up Something New. Advice: Silence = Will End Badly. Or Hold His Hand To Comfort Him. Don't Move To Fast Though Let Him Do The Moving. Also Nothing Like, "So Now What?" When You Guys Are In Silence It Will Mess Things Up.

Thank you so much guys!! heart
And looks like his plans changed and he had a rehearsal tonight for a play the school drama club is putting on. So it's been moved to tomorrow.
Which is actually much better, because I'm not babysitting and therefore my schedule is more flexible. He's still staying after school tomorrow, but he can get a ride to the coffeeshop and call me to say that he'll be there, then my mother will give him a ride back home later that night.
Suprise suprise, I pretty'd myself up to think he was an hour late and then he explains everything over msn.
