I sit here and wait on this night
As I watch the stars shine bright
The gentle feel of the cool breaze
Sets all my nerves at ease
About if what you said was true
If not this moment I shall rue
But I hope you'll hug me and smile
If not then I'll stay here and wait a while
It seems to me like this is a trial
But if I'd have to I'd walk a mile
Anything and everything I'd go through
Just to spend a single night with you

The sun begins to arise
As the hope within me somewhat dies
I waited for so long
Had my decision been wrong
Try to ignore it I do
I can't help but wonder of you
And if you were to actually arrive
Or even if these feelings would strive
To not think of this I do try
Though, I do start to cry
I cannot stop these tears
As they are filled with all of my fears

The wind begins to blow harshly againstmy small frame
I continue to stand and wait for your arrival
The tears have stopped but the fear does stay
I begin to think myself silly for even hoping
Yet, I continue to hope for it is all I have left
My hope of gazing into your eyes is far too strong
I wish upon the stars that my wait won't be long
The moonlight shines upon my pale skin
Such light as this turns whatever it lands upon a shade of blue
Though, the sadness of such a color does not affect my mood
For I will continue to stay here and wait for you
Even though my hope suffers much I will not budge
The chill of the wind has started to act upon me
I shiver and shake but I do not move
If I am to see your smile before I freeze
Then my restless spirit shall be put at ease
