I want to get motivated.

You guys want to get motivated.

Let's do it.

ALL you need to do is participate in the 8-minute abs challenge, and post in here. It's so simple, really! HERE IS THE LINK: CLICK!

You have to do 8-minute abs once a day, every day, from March 2-31. 30 days!
Sorry about the late notice, that's why I'm making it the 2nd. xP

It's doable, you don't need good knees or backs, you use strictly abdominal muscles.

Rules: You must do 8-minute abs. Not your own version because then I can't tell if you're doing the whole thing or not. xP HERE IS THE LINK: CLICK!

Post in here saying whether or not you did it each day. If you can't get on, then post the next day, but you MUST post at least every other day. Don't lie please, this is for your health! And gold, but be honest anyway!

Take before/after pics, measurements, or weights. Pics are preferred and can go for a bonus!

No one is expecting you to get a 6-pack, but a stronger core helps everything you do!

Taking breaks during the video is ok, just make sure that you don't miss more than 5 crunches per break! Limit 5 per video.

But I'm going to be doing this after my work out tonight because that's my schedule for tonight.
Work--> Work out --> 8 minute abs

Dang.
I might be extremely tired when doing it. D;

Yes I will do this also. My camera cord is currently missing so I won't be able to put up any pics until it is found.

Current Weight: 210 lbs.
Waist: 40 inches

Thank you for doing this, this is a great idea to get motivated. Can't wait to start it tomorrow!

I know 10k isn't a ton but it's more about doing it for you than for anything else.

Sure, I'll do that. Usually all I do is cardio so this should help with the muscles. Although I'll be gone for spring break, so hopefully things will work out then.

How do you feel?: My neck is killing me, I barely felt my abs. I know I'm doing something wrong. The majority of my weight is centered on my belly so this is really hard for me to be able to do much of the movements effectively without involving my neck. Suggestions?

Hm, sounds like whether or not you meant to, you were using your neck to pull yourself up. Be sure you don't hold onto your neck (just lightly touch your ears with your fingertips) and really concentrate on your abs.

Don't try to go UP as much as try to squeeze your abs. To get the feel of it, sit in a chair and practice squeezing your abs to a rhythm. You can hunch a little like you'd do a crunch, but really just focus on the movement of your abs. Then sit on the floor and squeeze again, don't worry about coming up.
Once you get the feel for it, use your abs to kind of suck your shoulders/top torso forward.

For a basic crunch, your shoulder blades shouldn't even come off of the floor completely. Your head only needs to come up 6 inches or so. So don't try to do a half-situp, crunches are different. Situps you try to get UP, crunches you try to pull yourself forward almost.

That's the only way I can explain it. =_= sorry. <3

the entire time i did it last time i almost stopped but then id see only a couple minutes left and be like im almost there!lol.my neck didnt really hurt but dang i felt like id be suffocated by my boobs everytime i went up.
