She wasn't sure who else to call for something like this, she wasn't sure what she was going to say yet in all truth, she wanted to just go home and hide. Alas they wouldn't let her drive herself anywhere, or call a cab, they wanted her to stay with a friend and wouldn't let her leave unless someone came and picked her a** up. Honestly doctors were such pushy people, lest they had take her at her word so far, thank goodness for that. Otherwise she'd be in some real trouble.
Kalika was still pissed though, of all things she had to be hit by a bloody car, with her attitude it would have figured, and made more sense, that someone would kill her in anger or even for revenge. But noooooo, she got hit by a drunk-off-their-a** teenager. She's been unlucky in the fact she got carted to the hospital, really lucky though that nothing been broken or even scrapped. So by the time she relived it was half believable that the lovely staff of nurses and doctors had brought her back. From there is a case of even more luck, her lack of injuries being explained away. Lack of broken bones because she didn't go under the car and the idiot had served last second. lack of contusions becuase she was in leather so her outfit took the abuse instead of her skin. They still made her stay over night before saying she could leave.
The very, very, unlucky part was her life was so messed up now, and she so badly needed a drink. Which lead to her trying to leave the hospital, which put her on the phone with a nurse trying to discreetly monitor her. No one else had come to mind really, out of the people she knew, and even few numbers she had, he was possibly her safest bet, even if she didn't want to have to tell him anything. "Pick up Joe, pick up..." Her mutter was a plea, boarding on praying by this point.
