with Absolute Powerforce due out in the next few weeks (and the new GK support coming with it) i thought i'd go ahead and try to bring back the oldest archetype in the game with the new support added. any helpful tips and/or advice is appreciated =)
Monsters:
Gravekeeper's Visionary x2 (new) Gravekeeper's Chief x2 Gravekeeper's Spy x3 Gravekeeper's Commandant x3 Gravekeeper's Descendant x2 (new) Gravekeeper's Assailant x2 Gravekeeper's Guard x2 Mystic Tomato x2 Krebons x2 Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind
Spells:
Necrovalley x3 Royal Tribute x2 Gravekeeper's Stele x2 (new) Emergency Teleport Allure of Darkness Book of Moon x3 Mystical Space Typhoon Smashing Ground
Traps:
Rite of Spirit x2 Bottomless Trap Hole x2 Phoenix Wing Wind Blast Magician's Circle Torrential Tribute Solemn Judgment
Extra Deck:
Stardust Dragon Red Dragon Archfiend Thought Ruler Archfiend Colossal Fighter Arcanite Magician Black Rose Dragon Ancient Fairy Dragon Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier Goyo Guardian Flamvell Uruquizas
i'd add a Mirror Force as well, but i only own one at the moment (in my main deck). i'll also keep my eye out for a Trap Dustshoot, unless it's not needed much in this build

i love the keepers just as much as i love the dark scorpians... although the scorpians are so outdated and wont help me against the new meta decks... how do you think your keepers will fair?..
thats my question... ive been longing for a gravekeeper deck to use and master....
i really dont have any advice maby besides trying to find a way to slip some spell caster support in there... like ive always seen Magicians Circle as a key card.. and they are spellcasters after all..
idk... ill be rooting for your deck build and hope it works out... ill be trying to make something similiar... so once you find a good build, maby you can help me with a few things XD
maby a few caius's too... just sayin...

thanks, zaku =) i considered Magician's Circle, but since it's a tad situational (and unchainable) i decided against it. as for Caius, maybe......

i suggested caius just because i added him to my scorpians... thought it would make sence seeing how the only tribute arnt realy worth the time... for instance.. Gorg the strong has an awsome ability and can be search through Meanae but its just an 1800 for one tribute... the keepers only have chief i think.... wich i dont own anymore... but will surely get... i never used the watcher or whatever his name is... the one that lets you discard him to negate your foes discarding... ..and i never used the cannonholder + curse combo... seemed like to much stuff to get onto the field and not a whole lot of ways of doing it fast..
the circle i do favor though.. because you will be attacking more than half the time i would assume... so why not just throw one in... you attack.. or they attack with a caster.. and BAM another keeper of your choice ready for whats to come...
idk... your better at deck builds then me... ill just wait for the final product..

I love magician's circle in my gk deck. while i usually only get to use it on my own attacks, i like to keep in mind that i get to use it before my opponent gets to activate mirror force so eve if my field goes boom, i'll have a monster still when the dust settles.

my foe activates mirror force...

just like call... no. attacking does not start a chain. it creates a condition to which players may respond to and is subject to player priority. that means that the attacking turn player gets to play a spell or trap in response to their own attack before the opponent. in the situation i mentioned, i responded to my own attack with magician's circle then the opponent played mirror force. when that chain resolves, mirror force destroys all my attack position monsters, then magician's circle will make both players special summon a spell caster with 2000atk or less.

Randall. I have to tell you, 3 book of moon is an absolute nescessity in GK decks. I believe dscendant is too much at 2, because you most likely just used him after a swarming, which means your swarm is all gone, doing that too many times takes away field advantage.
Also, maining Royal Oppression is bad because it makes spy useless, even as a defender, because after he's attacked, his effects activates, your opponant pays 800, and clears the field of 2000-2500 defender.

(really more for stopping synchros opposed to Dark Armed or JD). With it, you can not only return one of your opponants cards to deck top or extra deck, you can drop a gravekeeper to power-up Vissionary, or a strong Gravekeeper to revive with Rite of spirit for a combo play. But if you really want to stop special summons, use Black Horn of Heaven.

RandallTheGreenGeek any other thoughts/tips/advice? anyone? Yeah. Synchros aren't important in a gravekeeper deck. What's important is swarming and beating down your opponant (like blackwings do). In Addition to Necrovalley, Solidarity comes in handy for an extra strength boost, which would be ruined by non-spellcaster tuners and synchro monsters.
