For some songs I think it's ok to do...
I'm currently working on my first song with lyrics, and it's edited voice but the only lyrics are "Electricicle" really.

I think it's cool to have a few songs with altered voices, but I think it's annoying when it's all they do.

I have yet to record my voice, so everything I sing is live and completely natural. I think in certain cases, electronically altering your voice is pretty cool, but in others it is ugly an unnecessary.

Oh contraire. Ethnic is quite the opposite of rap. Rap uses autotune all the time... There are actually several people who use their real voices. the only thing is, they're hidden because they might not look good enough to have a record label, and that sort of thing. I use my voice! I plan to use my voice to wow the American Idol judges next year. Maybe even X-Factor... who knows.
