Hopefully Konami will finally hit them with the next list. People, you know who you are, keep going on about Lightsworn having died and no longer an issue but they are still winning in all major tournaments. I despise any deck with such power and such simplicity to play that anyone could play and win with them.

I Concur. Whats worse, Lightsworn Is evolving. The worst of them being Flamvell Sworn. It Synchros easily and and sets up it's win condition in no time. Can you say Rekindling for Game anyone?
First: JD says opponant has no field.
Then: Rekindling says I get 4 Flamvells.
Finally: Attack with all 5 for game monsters for game.
of course, it's win condition will be poop once Battle Fader comes out. Negates a direct attack, special summons itself, then ends the battle phase. XD

True, But they come after battle damage, and unless your running deck a with a consistant hand, Trag is just there to stop one attack,, and Gorz's token is useless if they attack with A weak Flamvell first. What's worse, they can still synchro after you effectively stop all their attacks, giving them some big muscle afterwards. Besides, in most cases, they only use rekindling to finish you off, most of the time, they already used lightsworns and level 8 Synchros to seriously dent your LP.

anyone who knows me can tell you that i DESPISE Lightsworn and the impact it has had on this game. and axean is right, they're constantly evolving, using themes from different decks to create new win conditions to get around their normal weaknesses (FlamSworn being the latest example of their obnoxiousness), not to mention more and more LS decks are teching Archlord Kristya to reuse their best weapon besides Judgment Dragon, the kill-any-monster Honest.
yes, there a number of cards that can stop them in their tracks, but most of them are simply too slow to do much. the regular Lightsworn monsters are bad enough, but to have what is basically a LS Chaos Emperor Dragon, at TWO, is just plain absurd.
they need to ban Judgment Dragon, restrict Honest, Charge of the Light Brigade, Gold Sarco, and Solar Recharge, and semi-limit Lumina and Lyla. then most of us could breathe a little easier. they would still be strong, but would be slow enough to counter easier. *whew* ok, glad to get that off my chest =P

Gold Sarc is fine at Two, because if JD gets banned, Lightsworn Users have no reason to use it. Lumina and Lyla are okay getting Semi-limited. Charge is the only search power Lightsworn gets, so I doubt there gonna do more than Semi-Limit it too.

They are the only deck putting good use to Flamvells besides Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode Decks.

if you just take JD and honest out of the equation, they really do suck. They wouldnt be able to beat normal decks, i mean s**t... their strongest monster is celestia. and with 2300 atk, it wont be able to do much once you use the effect. i actually had someone argue with me saying that they can still destroy every deck without JD and honest.
so, i hope they limit/bann JD and limit honest
