Thought of the Day

It is really hard to get back on track after so long of being sick and having abnormal eating patterns and no exercise. I really am trying, but I am so tired of not seeming to get anywhere. I know gradual weight loss is supposed to be the best, but I don't think that is true for me. If it takes too long I just get frustrated. I think I have to work at losing weight more quickly (not ridiculously, but quick).

I just take a generic gummie multi-vitamin. I should be taking something better, but for now, that is all I can really get myself to take.

I know. I love it. My sister really likes the kinds that have dried strawberries in them, but as crazy as it is, I think I like just the bran (or whatever) flakes by themselves. Also, I never thought I would be able to have fat free milk, but I stuck with it for a while and now I can't stand the fat you can taste in 2% milk.

Exercise has always been my biggest problem. I find I can actually stick to a diet pretty well for the most part, but can't ever really get myself to exercise. So, I made exercise my main goal for this year. My calories aren't as perfect as they were before, but I actually think I am doing better overall because exercise makes such a big difference.

I have the wii fit system, which lets you do yoga and strength training exercises, like lunges (which are insanely hard), situps, pushups (which I can only do handicap style so far), etc. It also has some aerobics, but frankly, besides the boxing, I don't really get a good aerobic workout from it. I have the "Dancing with the Stars" workout video, which is great for me because I used to actually compete in Ballroom dancing competitions, though now I can barely get through even 20 minutes of dancing when I used to have two hour lessons...

I might be joining a gym as soon as my student loan comes in, but I don't know how much I would use it.
