Check your BMR, 1600 calories a day might be ok if you're never exercising again, but even then I think that it wouldn't be quite enough.
http://www.tlbc.ca/blog/index.php/bmr-calculator/
BMR is Basal Metabolic Rate, it describes the calories you'll probably be burning at your weight. For example, for me:
I'm 22, 5'6'' and want to weigh 140 lbs, at 140 lbs, I'll be eating 2022 calories a day with light exercise (1-3 days per week) and at that calorie level I will never gain weight.
If I want to maintain my weight of 181 lbs, I would eat 2261 calories per day and never gain weight again, but because I want to lose weight, I'm aiming for 1750ish calories per day which will skeeve off 1 lb per week every week. However I'm actually going to eat more like 1850 probably depending on how much exercise I'm getting.
I know, 150-200 calories doesn't seem like much but it can be fairly substantial.
Give Fat2Fit Radio a listen, they've got great info on losing weight consistently and forever.
