Oh definite yay for me! I always thought they would be a great couple! Although I do agree with queen_of_the_potatoes that Watson appears to be the one coming on the strongest, but I can definitely see Holmes hiding his feelings under his stoic exterior. whee

Also, I am very excited for the movie coming out in December! Even if there is nothing overtly slashable, just the thought of Robert Downey Jr.!Holmes and Jude Law!Watson together is amazingly hot! xd

I love Sherlock Holmes, so I feel a bit guilty about messing around with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's writing and meanings behind his stories...>> but I can't help it.
Have anyone watched the movie yet?...is there any tension of that sort involved?

Gosh, I don't really know. Apparently there have been theories flying all over the place for years, though.

I know the Sunday Times or at least one of their writers reckons there's some kind of subtext, if only in the movie; one of the captions in an issue of the Sunday Times magazine quite a while ago mentioned it, I was somewhat surprised.

I'm reading through the Complete Sherlock Holmes right now, actually.

I've never actually read the books, though I've always wanted to. Maybe I can find a nice hardcover set somewhere.

As for the upcoming film, what are your thoughts? as I said, I haven't read it, but even I can see that it's not going to be very accurate. But it will probably be entertaining anyway, at least there's plenty of eye candy...

well, in the previews i saw of the upcoming movie,

there is this, sort of "playful banter" between Sherlock and Watson~ XD Now, if you wanted to misconstrue that, then yeah, there is some slight subtext XDDD lol

From what I've heard Robert Downey Jr. has been hinting about a possible relationship and saying that the final interpretation is up to the audience.
