Anyway, as for your question, I'm an old-fashioned guy and I prefer the uke to be shorter. That, or if they're of equal height. I don't care much about muscle mass, but I like my ukes to be shorter. :> . . .

To me, it doesn't really matter, I've read some yaoi with shorter semes (not many, though) and I thought it was a nice change from the usual height rule. I do sort of like my ukes a liiiittle bit shorter, or at least the same height, usually, because it gets a bit awkward with a taller uke sometimes. - Oscar Wilde.

I think the height rule is silly. It's almost as if people have convinced themselves that ukes must be small, delicate and feminine and fit into their seme's arms like a fragile flower. *gags* No thanks.
Big, small, short, tall, they come in all shapes and sizes and I prefer it that way. I'm not gonna let some wimpy height rule get in the way of things.

Generally speaking, when a pairing is presented the shorter of the two is presumed to be the submissive. This is a stereotype following that most girls are shorter then guys, and to be more feminine is to be shorter. It's obviously not a concrete rule, and has little significance when judging people outside the yaoi arena.

I think shorter ukes are cute and kinda what I prefer. I don't know but taller ukes just seem alittle strange to me sadly.

I don't care..when I read..personally I would like my guy to be taller cause i like to rest my head on his chest when he hugs me..but ya know I'm never gonna get a guy so wishful thinking

No, it doesn't matter to me at all. In fact, sometimes I think a tall uke would make for an interesting story. Like if he had a peculiar background and personality.

But I've noticed that the taller one is always seme and the shorter is always uke ^_^
