Anata wa watashi ga zutto mae ni "sayounara" to yutta hito wo omoidasaseru.

^topic

of course, when it becomes legal for play...

Just saw that duel terminals will be released in the US...

It'd be cool if they told us where...though I probably wouldn't want to hang around places like toys r' us, popping dollars into a machine to get cards...<.<

okay, yeah I would...

Yes, that is true.

Although right now they only have them for testing to see if they will even out cost wise.

Though, I bet he'll be limited/banned upon mass release. I mean, there's no way that an easily summon-able card, that can trounce most heavily used monsters with ease, will make it passed the banlist radar.

edit: catastor, not the machine <.<

I doubt it. I mean he's been out in japan a couple years now and hasn't made any really big splashes.

catastor will most definitely be a staple, what I want to know is just how easily accessible the duel terminals will be. If they're virtually everywhere our AOJ friend won't be worth so much, if not.....then.... stare

Catastor will definetly be in many, if not, every extra deck, and will pop out occasionaly when it becomes legal. It will probably be limited though (in the advanced format), at the least, but who knows.

Remember the banlist we have mirrors that of Japan. Our meta has nothing to do with theirs. Because of this and the fact that Catastor has not been worshiped towards "broken" status, I doubt even when he will be released, he will hit the Ban List.

With Charge and Ehren hitting Japan soon, I have a feeling LS fever will spread and they they will most likely appear on the Sept '09 List. With this in mind, Blackwings are also seeing a high play rate in both Japan and U.S and are most likely to become the top deck to take the mantle after Lighsworn's demise. Catastor will definitely, in this case, not be used at all.

The only way I can see Catastor be used is if Synchro Cat catches on (It won our Canadian Nats, which is ironic since I stomped on like 5 Synchro Cat Decks that day..and only 12 or so Duelists were playing it). And even then, the most common win condition of Synchro Cat is the Summoner Monk-to-Summoner Monk-to-Rescue Cat-to-Airbellum-to DSF OTK. Catastor can stop the other plethora of Synchro's, granted, but DSF will trounce over him.

There's a reason that since their release, the OCG has done barely anything towards Lightsworn. The reason would be Catastor.

All that's been done is the semi-limitation of Judgment Dragon, which for our friends in Japan, was the only part necessary in dealing with. While decks here make wins with Honest as its key component for victory, so long as Catastor existed, Judgment Dragon was and still is the OCG's only out. At 3, it was easy. At 2, the deck is more dependent on the Spell support to get Judgment Dragon early. That's when Cold Wave and first turn Natural Beast say hello.

Even with the release of Charge of the Light Brigade, Japan won't see much of Lightsworn. Their planned weapon will be Black Shining G, which won't be too effective for throwing the lineup off with more cards to dump to the Graveyard with no Lightsworn synergy. The arch-type will continue to be faded in the background.

If we're going to bring up the banned list on anything, let it be Dark Strike Fighter. That card has to be dealt with.

I think I read somewhere that the Duel Terminals are being tested in california. So west side duelists will have a upper leg on this promo.

Only for it to not be tournament-legal. West coast players are only using their money to get a piece of paper which playability worth is as much as the Egyptian God prints.

DSF and Monk will get hit. rescue cat could get hit to 1, whirlwind and gale will be hit as well, but if whirlwind is at 1, then gale should be at 2. i kinda also get the feeling that Brain control and mind control will be hit as well.

JD will go to 1, and i can see a few other LS cards being hit. i can't say anything about charge or ehren, but recharge, layla, and lumina are all possible targets for the limited list

i know charge and ehren won't get touched because japan is just getting those two, but i can see layla and JD getting hit. i want to say honest would get hit.

i say this because honest works for any and all light monsters.

when referenced to kalut, kalut only works for blackwings.

this format was ridiculous to begin with. the top bw player, Roy St. Clair, is a player that no o ne has ever heard of. he topped at nats with a deck that is mostly commons. hopefully with the next format, synchro cat, bws, ls, and GB will all be hit.

http://www.pojo.biz/board/showthread.php?t=714128

i really think this is what the next list will look like, minus the charge.
