I don't ever remember any "That's what she said" jokes, but I've said and heard a lot of them.
I swear, when they named car parts, they had to have had that phrase in the back of their mind. Really.
Working on cars, it became second nature and I tend to say it before I realize I'm doing it.

Lol I find them silly, especially since my boyfriend says "That's what she says.." after several things I say.

Yes my boyfriend does that too. Its kind of funny. I had a friend who would make these jokes at every single opportunity. Not joking about that. I could be talking to someone else entirely and set up a joke like this, and he would appear out of nowhere to tell me, "thats what she said". It actually took over a month of this before it got old.

It starts raining.
Me: Oh no we're going to get all wet again.
Him: Thats what she said.

But when someone sets up their own joke and then says it, thats not funny.

"That's What She Said" jokes are okay. From what my friend learned, if a girl hears something that could be taken in a perverted fashion, the girl has to say "That's what HE said."
