So I thought we needed a bit of a chat about this sort of thing. Music. What do you listen to? What genres? Do you have a favorite band? Have you discovered any small, not so well-known bands? Do you listen to music in languages you don't understand, and if so, what languages have you got so far? Discuss and share your discoveries! I love music, I can't imagine myself without it crying When I draw music is playing,when I take a shower theres music,in the subway,in class--basically everywhere I go xDDD
What do you listen to?: I like classical when I just want to relax. Instrumental versions of many of my favorite songs or just the sound tracks from video games I liked. If theres a good theme I try to come up with a scene to match the mood of the music xD Keeps me busy.
What genres?:I love j-pop&rock. No I can't understand a thing but I find the melody to be so much better compared to the singers that are from here (canada) or the states Dx.(not to mention cuter singers ! xD )
Do you have a favorite band?: Hm~ it used to be (Fahrenheit) Fei Lun Hai for a while. Now I pretty much love every band equally lol
Have you discovered any small, not so well-known bands? Not really,whenever I discover a new song/band theres always a catch.Turns out its just an old song/band that everybody got over by the time I discovered it. sweatdrop
Do you listen to music in languages you don't understand, and if so, what languages have you got so far?Japanese,Chinese, and most recently Vietnamese.
What about you? I'm curious now xD

What do you listen to?
A lot of random bands I come across by accident...and soundtracks from my favorite movies and video games! I listen to both modern, popular music, indie stuff, and old classics like David Bowie or Led Zeppelin!
What genres?
Eeeeverything. Except country, I hate country. But I like most other styles...especially metal, jazz and any electro/techno-like music.
Do you have a favorite band?
Not really. I listen to certain things periodically... currently I listen to a lot of And One, John Lennon and some Placebo... and lots of Yoko Kanno!
Have you discovered any small, not so well-known bands?
The other day I came across a Jazz band called Frankie Wants Out. I heard them live once, and I love them! They're quite entertaining, I love how energetic their singer is. I also like Abney Park, a steampunk band, though they're a bit more well-known in the steampunk community, and Vampire Weekend.
Do you listen to music in languages you don't understand, and if so,what languages have you got so far?
As long as it sounds nice, I don't care about the words or the language. I have songs in Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Finnish, Russian...I think that's it smile - Oscar Wilde.

What genres?: rock, punk, emo, house
Do you have a favorite band? razz ink Evanescence, Avrile Lavigne, Green days, Fallout Boy, Inna etc

What do you listen to? EBM, Trance, industrial, etc..
What genres? Too many to name.
Do you have a favorite band? Emilie Autumn, Pzychobitch, Unter Null, etc...
Have you discovered any small, not so well-known bands? Many

I'm trying to create a new play list so I'm looking into all my music folders xD
Which brings me to my point, I'd like to ask a few questions of my own >:3 That is,if you don't mind, S a f f r o n S u g a r 3nodding
(I'll edit my post if yes! >.<)
1.When creating a new play list,do you like to add really old songs that you have in your pc or only stick to the most recent ones?

3.Do your songs have a story? (i.e you got one song because you loved the commercial and the melody makes you giggle and reminds you of it)
A.1. Since I'm so lazy I usually stick to the most recent ones I got unless one in particular is stuck in my head,then I'll dig it up xD
A.2.All the timmmeeeee. It's like a movie in my head. Each song has a story because at one time or another I used my music to make me feel better. Or if its an intro to an anime (which is often the case) I think about the series =D
A.3.That song "Stuttering" when the gum commercial was on tv ( The princess kissing a frog and I think everything turns to ice and the prince appears xD )
And I got the song "Talk Play Love (TPL)" & "Promise You" from AnyBand when the commercial came out. They were doing one for a cell,both were awesome btw xD I even wanted to buy the cell after I watched the video!! rofl

I'll add that as a quote in my first post smile
1.I just add randomly what I feel like or what fits with the playlist theme.. for example, I have a playlist for industrial and similar music, I have one with lovecraft-related songs, a jazz ones...so yeah, I add old and new smile
2.Not really, because the old songs I listen to are all from when I wasn't born xD
3.I like to imagine stories for some of my songs...and I do have a ridiculous amount of movie and game soundtracks, so whenever I hear those I remember the scenes from there. - Oscar Wilde.
