Greetings fellow geezers!
I'm Ruby or Ru in this account. I just had a birthday on May 5, which makes me a newly minted 50 years young. I've been playing at Gaia for almost a year now. I found Gaia from myspace & love putting together puzzles & wandering the towns for gold, bugs & selected trash (bags, cans & boots). Almost quit because of the younger people here (the public forums are disgusting & rather scary!), but found & joined the over 30's guild, & love it, so I've stayed.
I don't give specifics, but I live in a small southern CA town (more accurately, south-central); one child (grown & a mommy herself) daughter from 1st marriage; one 4 legged, furry child, a mini schnuazer affectionately referred to as 'pup, although he is 4 years old; married 25 years to 2'd hubby; have an AA in general ed & work full time as a paraprofessional (fancy name for aide, LOL) in the school section of one of the counties' juvenile detention facilities; in my spare (BWAHAHAHA!) time, I webmaster for a realty company, make/sell jewelery, love to read (Sci-fi fantasy are my faves), & just kicking back with family friends when they come to visit. I have eclectic musical tastes & like pretty much anything except rap (didn't like it when Blondie did it first, & it's gone downhill since, IMO). My latest musical find is The Black Angels & I LOVE their song Sniper At The Gates Of Heaven. Anyone old enough to remember the early to mid 70's would recognize the sound as good ol' stoner music (doesn't mean you had to have been a stoner, LOL, just that you grew up in the stoner age). Triggered some great memories mrgreen

Oh yea, as one of those decrepit old 'geezers', I do appreciate manners, however anyone over-using ma'am, will be chased down & whacked soundly with my cane! rofl
