So, what excercise and diet regimine would you recommend? I want to get healthy, and drop about twenty pounds. What if someone is too busy to excercise, can they still lose weight in a healthy manner?

I don't think anyone can really give you advice unless they know where you are at; what fitness level you are, weight/height, how active you currently are, etc.

If you could give me some more information I would be happy to help you out! smile

EDIT;; I read your intro, and welcome to the guild!
At your height and weight I'll assume you've got average fitness and can do a few crunches, may or may not be able to do pushups.

I'd recommend mainly watching what you eat (lots of green and color, less starchy carbs etc.), drinking water drinking water drinking water, and upping your protein intake just a little to help you gain muscle which will in turn burn fat.

You should aim to walk 10,000 steps per day, walk around on your lunch hour or breaks etc. If you can, try the :08 minute series from like the '80s (it's dated but INCREDIBLY effective).

8 minute ABS
8 minute LEGS
8 minute ARMS
8 minute BUNS
8 minute STRETCH

Do 2 a day, alternate them. :3
I can't really make excuses for 16 minutes of workout, so it always motivates me!

Okey dokey, here goes:

I go to school, wake up at five, come home, go to work, so I do not have much time to work out. I am ADDICTED to chocolate, so that is a big problem. I weight 150 pounds, I am 5'6, and about a size 10. I really want to get healty, I used to be a six, it felt like a better, more comfortable size, and I really want to fit into my old clothes. My fiance does not live with me until a few monthes from now, but we are really both health freaks. I have slipped though thanks to my busy schedule, while he has gotten really healthy, and it showed me how out of shape I was when I was not able to keep up when we were running together for the first time in monthes.

Hips: 40
Waist:30
Bust:41

I definitely feel you on the schedule thing, it always interferes with my best intentions!

Just try to stick to water, dark chocolate when you NEED chocolate (and suck it don't chomp - even when you really want to.) and try to walk and tone when you can. Even doing leg lifting (4-6" off the ground) in your seat at school 100 times is a workout! Who cares if someone sees you, they should be paying attention in class. Plus, it's really not that noticeable.

Do knee lifts in your seat where you sit up straight and lift your knees and legs up a few inches, hold for a count, and put them down. Repeat.

Then tone your calves by placing your feet flat on the ground while you sit. Raise your toes, hold, release.

If you're alone, do bicycle motions. That's harder than crunches, even.
