After three or four consecutive days of eating eighty or ninety percent junk food and not counting the calories, after a few days of sleeping in, and then walking like crazy and having it be that time of the month ... I went from 145.5 pounds last week to 150 this week.
I. Don't. Think so. I've read that a girl's true weight fluctuates by up to eight pounds when she's menstruating.
Any ladies here that can back that up so I don't freak out? heart ! "If your stomach feels weak my work here is DONE."

Trust me you do. You bloat when you're on your period.

Soi Tsuba Trust me you do. You bloat when you're on your period. How long does the bloating go for? It's the holidays and I've been eating like crazy. I'm also 1kg heavier. Would that be my periods (that JUST finished) or my eating? :S

A couple of girls told me my real weight would return three days after it starts; I'm still 150. >.< "If your stomach feels weak my work here is DONE."

Your weight should fluctuate by 1-3 kilos (about 2-6 pounds) the day before you begin menstruating and for two to three days afterward.
However, you ALSO ate salty, fatty, starchy, junky foods. Remember that what you drink shows up on the scale immediately, but what you eat shows up on the scale in 2-4 days. Therefore, if you ate those junky foods on a Sunday when you weighed 145 pounds, then started menstruating on Wednesday or so, your period could cause a 3-4 pound weight gain all by itself, and by Thursday the junk food would also be contributing to the gain.
Your weight should be normal again once you stop menstruating ("normal" meaning no more water-weight from the bloating), but you'll still have to exercise for 2-3 weeks to drop the weight from the junk food you ate.

Your weight does go up, because you eat more.
But as a hint, you're more hungry and craving bad stuff on your period because your metabolism goes into overdrive. If you eat like you do on a normal day, and try to resist cravings for junk/salt/fried food, you'll actually lose weight. 3nodding
