What about these cute little creepy, deadly things? Any songs you know written with these as the base? Artwork? Strange facts? Experiences? Jewerly/clothing with this theme? Let's discuss it.

Well, for me, there is Alice Cooper's latest album Along Came a Spider, which is about a killer who thinks he is a spider and needs 8 legs to be complete.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEXjWdFJy8E
So he kills several girls, then falls in love with the last victim, and out of love he can't bring himself to kill her. The other one is the song Lullaby by The Cure. And I recently ordered and recieved the gothic lolita spider web skirt from RetroscopeFashions.com
As for real spiders, dead spiders actually both scare me and make me feel very very sad. Living spiders are fine, and whenever I find one, I catch it and release it outside. Personally, because I believe all living creatures deserve love and mercy, not just people.
(and if it is really cold or raining outside, of course, I'll wait)

i like spiders.... mostly because they scare the s**t out of my little sister XD

oh, and if your find a newly made spider web, then try to take a little leaf (small enough, so that the web wont break from the weight of it) then place it, on the web carefully. The little creature attacks the leaf right away. Its both amusing and fascinateing at the same time.

I like spiders. I used to catch them, keep them, watch them, collect them, play with them, feed them, learn about them, everything....

I was into entymology for a few years, still am, but not as much. *shrug*

I love spiders. Ever since I was little, my dad taught me to catch spiders that I find in the house and release them outside rather than squishing them.

It wasn't until a spider found its way into my first grade class room that I found out that the catch-and-release method was not common in all households.

Same here. sad

Everyone always shreaks and runs around yelling "how can you get near that thing!" while I escort it to the back door to 'safety' and freedom.

same here. Even the teachers kill them, and even if you beg, they don't let you save the poor little things.... I mean, it isn't even their fault. Really, it is cruel to squish such a small little harmless sweet innocent creature. Even the ones that are poisonious, they really can't help that.

I like to leave the spiders in my house, they eat the other bugs. Also, the spiders and I have a deal, if they stay out of sight in my room they can stay, but otherwise.... ninja

I don't. Like. Spiders. [twitch] But then I guess having been bitten by one makes me a bit biased. We find huge 2" long ones inside the house sometimes, they're scary. I like spiderweb fabric, though. Use it all the time.
